Miami is a great jumping-off point for just such a trip. In this article, we’ll outline the ultimate 4-day RV road trip from Miami, FL.

Day 1: Miami to Key West

Start your journey early in the morning from Miami and head south on US-1 towards Key West. This scenic drive is approximately 150 miles and takes around 3-4 hours without stops. You can enjoy the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico on the way.

Once you arrive in Key West, park your RV at one of the many RV parks in the area and spend the rest of the day exploring. Key West has plenty of attractions to see such as the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory, and the Key West Lighthouse and Keeper’s Quarters Museum. In the evening, make sure to catch the famous sunset at Mallory Square.

Day 2: Key West to Everglades National Park

On day 2, head north on US-1 and turn onto the Florida Turnpike. After around 2 hours of driving, you will arrive at the entrance to the Everglades National Park. This is a must-visit destination for nature lovers, with over 1.5 million acres of wetlands, mangroves, and sawgrass prairies.

Spend the day exploring the park and take a guided tour of the swamps and marshes. You can also take an airboat ride to spot some of the park’s famous alligators. There are several RV campgrounds within the park, so you can stay overnight and continue your adventure the next day.

Day 3: Everglades National Park to Naples

On day 3, head west on US-41 towards Naples. This drive takes around 2 hours and offers stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. Naples is a beautiful coastal city with white sandy beaches and plenty of attractions to explore.

After parking your RV at one of the many RV parks in the area, spend the day exploring the city. Visit the Naples Pier for some stunning views of the ocean and take a stroll down the famous 5th Avenue South shopping district. You can also visit the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens or the Naples Botanical Garden.

Day 4: Naples to Miami

On the final day of your RV road trip, head back to Miami. This drive takes around 2 hours and offers a different perspective of the coastline. If you have time, stop by the Everglades Outlet Mall for some last-minute shopping.

Once you arrive back in Miami, visit the famous South Beach for some sun, sand, and relaxation. You can also visit the Miami Beach Botanical Garden or take a stroll down Ocean Drive. There are many RV parks in the Miami area where you can park your RV for the night and prepare for your journey home the next day.
