Rented this 2013 Thor Hurricane for a two night family trip to Big Bend National Park. The owner Jaime Carrasco was very friendly and advised me that it had just been used by his son and that the wiring between the generator and the plug in was not working and that if I wanted to use it without running the generator and only using the plug in that I would have to switch some wiring around. He gave me a quick tutorial and it seemed simple enough. However, I don't think he knew that the generator was failing. As soon as we departed from El Paso, Texas the generator kept shutting down and without it there is no a/c to the back part of the rv. Only the driver and passenger sides had working a/c. I did not want to have to cut our trip short so I kept trying to find a way to keep it on. By communication with Jaime, watching videos on the internet, and finally contacting the 24 roadside assistance from Outdoorsy. They were all helpful up to a point but nothing really worked. It kept shutting down on us.Finally we stopped in Van Horn, Texas and we plugged it into an rv park, thinking we could at least power it through the plug in. Unfortunately, one of the screws for the wiring that I was unstructured on by Jaime ended up being stripped, so we couldn't even get any power that way. Again I do not believe that Jaime was aware of these deficiencies before our trip.So we were forced to turn around. The next day I advised Jaime of our situation and he agreed for me to turn the rv back to him after only one night. I told him about what had happened and he agreed with me that it was only fair for me to be charged for one's night use. He said he would contact Outdoorsy about a refund to me.Several days later I had not heard from Jamie so I texted him and he would just tell me that he hadn't been able to contact Outdoorsy and that I should try. I tried several times to call Outdoorsy. But they have a long wait time. Emailing them also never got a direct response from them only automated messages. Nothing helpful. I notified Jaime of this and asked him if he could in good faith pay me back for the one night I didn't use. Have not heard back from him as of this review. I would have to advise anyone thinking of renting from Jaime Carrasco to try someone else.I will update this review if and when I receive a response from either Jaime or Outdoorsy.
