About Rachel and Don's RV rentals
Welcome to our Glamping RV Class C family! We're excited to share our tiny homes on wheels! When we're not in the RV, we have several occupations that help us afford to stay in the beautiful central coast area of Santa Cruz, CA. We represent integrity, excellence and love in our daily lives. Doing this RV Rental business through Outdoorsy was a natural flow for us as a couple since we both use our gifting & talents. Don is a great RV service tech with expertise in repairs, mechanical & operational functions of our motor coaches. Rachel is the administrative connection that bridges the gap from 'stranger' to RV Family. We are fortunate to provide adventurers our spacious, clean and comfy home on wheels. Living together in close quarters, taking time along the way to stop & see the sights is all part of your glamping adventures! Planning an RV road trip? Don and Rachel were the ideal hosts to rent our camper from for our very first RV experience. They were friendly and very communicative and also provided plenty of support throughout the process.
Since this was our very first time renting and operating a vehicle of this kind, Don gave us an incredibly detailed orientation on how to operate all of the features as well as lots of helpful pointers on how to maneuver it around safely and to avoid problems and potential damage.
The RV itself was top of the line and immaculate on the inside. It comes very well stocked with dishes, cookware, and a fairly large refrigerator and freezer. It also had amenities such as towels, toilet paper/paper towels, hand and dish soap, and even a selection of DVDs for the television. I was surprised that we really didn’t need to bring much other than some extra blankets, food and our personal belongings, because this camper is so well outfitted.
Pick up was very convenient as they have it stored in a large covered facility, so we’re able to park and do the orientation with Don and they even offer the option to store your vehicle, while your away.
I will say that we didn’t realize how much is involved in operating an expensive and very large vehicle of this kind. We definitely learned a lot on our trip, and I think moving forward we now know that when you plan an RV excursion to take into account things like: terrain, hookups, gas stops (Don had a very helpful tip about using the stations that can accommodate larger vehicles) and inclement weather (high winds/rain etc). But all in all if you ever have need for a top of the line camper, with all the bells and whistles, this is definitely the one for you! Thank you again Don and Rachel for taking a chance on us newbies and for teaching so much!

Honestly the best rental we’ve had on this app. Don was so thorough on the day we picked up the RV, we had no issue/questions while we were camping! The RV was so clean and well maintained, you can really feel the love they put into the RV. The RV was well equipped with all the essentials, we only had to pack our personal belongings like clothes and toiletries :) I would highly recommend and will definitely rent from Don and Rachel again!

Don was incredibly knowledgeable and provided valuable guidance fof our trip. his assistance was greatly appreciated, as he was informative and helpful. The RV itself was impeccably clean and fully stocked, leaving us to only bring food and minor supplies. Both Rachel and Don were consistently responsive and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend renting from them.

We had a wonderful experience glamping in Rachel and Don's beautiful and pristine RV. We would love to make this an annual tradition. We didn't meet Rachel in person, but Don was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We have nothing bad to say about any part of this experience!

Don and Rachel are wonderful. Their RV is very nice, clean and stocked with everything you'll need to make your RV experience fun. We would highly recommend their rig for your camping plans. This was my first experience renting and vacationing in an RV. Rachel & Don are top notch. Took my wife, son and dog for 4 nights and we had an absolute blast! Rachel is a great communicator and sets everything up. We only emailed but I can tell she is very kind. There is no guessing, she explains everything that is needed and more. I could tell I was in good hands. Don knows RV's. When we met at the hand off, he spent a good amount of time going over in detail how to use all the features of the RV and how to operate the vehicle. There's a lot of stuff on these RV's but if you pay attention, he covers it all... this is very helpful. Regarding our trip, the RV was perfect. Not one issue. This RV was clean, drove very well and just made everything easy. We brought too much stuff... and I'll tell you in advance, Rachel and Don provide everything you'll need, the RV is "well" stocked. As mentioned, this was my first time renting an RV and I plan to do it again with Rachel and Don again. No need to shop around, they will take care of you and great service is everything these days. Looking forward to our next trip with one of their RV's!

We had a great trip. We did delivery and pickup of the RV at our campsite so Don and Rachel arrived right on time to help setup the RV and give us the tour. We dry camped and had everything we needed to have a great glamping experience (pots, pans, TP/PT, soap plates and cutlery, mugs, etc.). We fit a pack n play between the dinette and couch for the baby, which fit perfectly. The generator and water pump worked great when we need to wash dishes and the stove, microwave and coffee maker were great. We used the outdoor shower to wash dishes, per Don’s suggestion, which was great. We did not drive, so cannot speak to that. An outdoor rug was included which helped for outdoor play for our little ones. We would definitely rent again! Upon pickup, they, again, were there right in schedule to close out the rental.

Rachel & Don were truly awesome. We had a great experience from the very beginning to the end. RV was very clean, fully stocked, and easy to drive. Don did very detailed orientation before handing the RV over, and provided real-time support during the trip. Our family had a great time and will absolutely rent from Rachel & Don again. Highly recommended!!

Rachel and Don's RV was such a wonderful vehicle to shuttle my family of four and my parents up California to see the redwoods on a five day road trip. The RV was well stocked with all the necessities for cooking, lounging, and sleeping. Don did such a great job acclimating me to the vehicle during the initial overview on my departure day that I felt so comfortable taking the RV out even though it was my first time driving an RV. I'd highly recommend renting from Rachel and Don, and I won't hesitate to rent from them again!
