We recently rented this camper through outdoorsy.com and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing overall.Upon arrival, we immediately noticed several issues. The first night temperatures dropped to around 60 degrees, and the camper became very cold inside. My husband attempted to use the furnace/heater, but while it would briefly turn on, it would not stay running. We contacted Jeremy, and to his credit, he responded very quickly and was always cordial and responsive throughout our stay. He suggested it could be related to the propane tank, and my husband checked that, but the problem continued the following night. In the end, we simply bundled up and stopped trying to use the heater. We also noticed upon arrival that the toilet appeared to have a leak. The next morning, the rug near the toilet and shower area was completely soaked. Any rug we placed in that area continued to get wet due to the leak, making it difficult to keep the camper dry and comfortable. We did communicate this issue to Jeremy, and hopefully it has since been repaired for future renters.Another major concern was cleanliness. We paid both a cleaning fee and sanitizing fee, yet the camper did not appear to have been properly cleaned before our arrival. The floors had not been vacuumed, the sink was dirty, the toilet appeared used and unclean, and both the shower and bathroom areas were dirty as well. It definitely did not give the impression that the camper had been sanitized or properly prepared between guests. Despite this, we still made sure to leave the camper clean when we departed because that is simply how we treat places we stay. There were also hookup issues at the campsite. One part of the hoses/connections was missing initially, although Jeremy later (next day) brought another hose to help address that issue. However, the water connection continued leaking outside throughout the stay, leaving puddles around our campsite area, which was frustrating and honestly a bit embarrassing.Another significant issue was that there were no keys provided for the camper upon arrival. After Jeremy notified us that the camper had been set up, my husband asked about the keys, and Jeremy mentioned that no one had ever really asked about them before. However, being able to secure and lock a camper when leaving the campsite is basic and expected. We were unable to properly lock and utilize both doors. Jeremy did later bring a key for one of the doors the following day, but by then we had already needed to leave the campsite for a graduation and had no way to secure the second exterior/bathroom door, which had to remain unlocked while we were away. During the trip, we had to lock one door from the inside before exiting and then use the single key for the other door, which was inconvenient and concerning from a security standpoint. As for the camper itself, it is functional, but it has significant wear and tear that is not fully reflected in the listing photos. I would strongly recommend requesting an updated, detailed walkthrough video before booking so you have a more accurate idea of the camper’s current condition and can decide whether it meets your expectations. To be fair, Jeremy was always responsive, polite, and quick to communicate, and I do appreciate that. However, due to the multiple maintenance, cleanliness, functionality, and security issues we experienced during our stay, I would not personally rent this camper again or recommend it to others.I attached some pictures of when we first arrived to the RV.
