About Timothy's RV rentals
I've driven "Big Red" clear cross the country multiple times and love the way of life it affords. I like camping in the middle of nowhere as much as I do at an RV park. Different experiences and different culture from the Southwest desert to Cape Cod beaches has me continuing the journey and I'm glad I can share my vehicle for similar adventures.

Tim made our first rental of an RV a stress free event. He communicates promptly and did a thorough explanation of all the features of Big Red. A pleasant surprise was the roominess of the refrigerator. When we needed help at our campsite Tim was available and able to answer our question immediately. Big Red was comfortable to drive and we enjoyed our five day get away.

Big Red is a great camping experience. It falls into the category of "glamping" (glamor camping). Unlike most RV's, this is a pack up and go kind of vehicle. A quick checklist to make sure everything is closed up & in travel mode, put it in gear and go to your next destination. It's very well equipped. The only problem we had was when we waisted some much needed space by duplicating gear that the owner had already and thoughtfully provided.

My wife and I had a great trip in the Travato. We put on many miles and stayed at state parks and RV campgrounds. The vehicle did well under all conditions and we were very comfortable in it. The owner, Tim, was an excellent communicator and made our first RV road trip an excellent one. We would definitely book Big Red again.

My husband and I tried our first camper van experience recently in Big Red. It had everything to make it an Air B and B on wheels. And everything was in very good condition despite 74,000 miles on it. We camped in remote ar3as rather than at campgrounds so we had to be self sufficient and Big Red made it easy. Propane, battery and a generator gave us easy options for heat, refrigeration, cooking, music and even TV.
Tim was a great communicator from the very beginning. He is a very conscientious person and a delight to work with. He took as much time as we needed to go over all the systems and answer our questions.
We plan to be back in Tucson and will spend time in Big Red again.

We took Big RED up to Utah for a glorious trip through the National Parks. The vehicle was in tiptop shape and we had a great trip. The van drives great with plenty of power, good steering and most importantly good brakes. It drives like a big tall pick up truck.
Tim's pick up location was convenient. Tim was flexible about the times for pick up and delivery. We appreciated his willingness to negotiate mileage once we shared our plans for travel. Overall both owner and vehicle were outstanding. Thanks

We rented Big Red for a month in February, 2018. We had previously lived in a 24' RV for four years a decade ago, and found Big Red convenient, well-equipped, comfortable, and very easy to drive and navigate - perfectly suited to our plan to visit friends and natural wonders in Southern Arizona, New Mexico and West Texas. There was a problem with the vehicle's engine battery, but due to Winnedbago's trusty redundancy and backup features it was a non-issue. Timothy was wonderfully responsive to our questions as we settled in at the beginning, and highly regretful that the service center that checked Big Red out before our arrival did not catch the battery issue. Our only complaint was the cold weather - but even so, the RV kept us warm and cozy when needed.

Fantastic experience with Tim Rugg and Big Red. Tim was very attentive and helpful throughout and we wouldn't hesitate to do business with Tim again. The RV is compact, which is just what we needed for our adventure. I was very surprised how comfortable the bed was with 2 people - it is deceiving when you first see it. We lived out of this for 4 days without any hookup or power without any problem what-so-ever. The RV was well equipped for most everything but a couple quick notes: We are big coffee drinkers and there is no coffee maker or way to boil water so you do have to bring your own and I don't believe the dishes aren't microwavable safe - they are enamel metalware - so we only used paper plates in the microwave. Otherwise, the kitchen is equipped with anything else you need for stovetope cooking. Great experience, than kyou!

TIMOTHY'S 2015 WINNEBAGO TRAVATO 59G WAS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!!!!! 'BIG RED' FUNCTIONED BEAUTIFULLY & ALL QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS WERE ADDRESSED EXPEDITIOUSLY. I WOULD DO BUSINESS WITH THIS RV OWNER AGAIN, IN A HEARTBEAT! PERSONS OF TIMOTHY RUGG'S INTEGRITY MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE!!!!!!!!

Wow, we hit the jackpot when we rented this campervan through Tim. The RV was perfect - easy to handle yet had everything we needed. Tim was great to work with - very responsive and helpful. We would definitely rent from him again. We loved that the campervan was small enough to fit into regular parking spaces at crowded trailheads but was big enough for the 2 of us. We enjoyed having 2 beds, refrigerator, stove, bathroom, heater and TV. Tim was great about explaining all the features of the RV to us so we were comfortable driving and using it. Couldn't have had a better experience. We look forward to another trip with Big Red!

Great RV. Drives well. Tim Rugg is congenial & helpful - nice guy. We had no issues with the RV on our vacation. Lots of options with cooling/heatingScreened open side door, A/C, fan at top, heater. Comfortable seating. Comfortable bed. Recommend for 1-2 people.
