"BEFORE YOU RENT, PLEASE PLEASE READ -I honestly don't often leave negative reviews for people, but I would hate
for anyone to have to experience what we went through with Fatima and
Muhammad. If you read this and decide to rent from Fatima, make sure to ask her about
all functioning parts of the RV (make sure everything works and if
something happens on the road, please document EVERYTHING because we had to
deal with the claims department for over a week after we returned). Make
sure to have the contract in the car and make sure to stay in communication
over outdoorsy and summarize in outdoorsy any phone or personal interaction
after. We have learned the hard way, but we hope you don't have to.On paper, Fatima seemed like a good person to rent to. However, when things
started to not work in the RV, the first response we got from her was of
blame before even asking for our well-being or if our plans were
compromised. I will go through a few examples. On the first night we used the slide out function, it came out okay, but
didn't go back in the next morning as we prepared to leave for our trip to
Big bend. We reached out to Fatima and she was cooperative and tried to
help to find what was the issue. She seemed to nice about everything as
this was happening. She even offered to pay for our night at the RV park
that night. Her and Muhammad then told us to try and get help from someone
in the RV park. I decided to try and fix the issue and was able to get the
slide out back in 5 hours later. We explained how inconvenient the day was
(especially when you are paying a lot of $$ per day + other RV reservations
missed). She said that she will be fair. WE SHOULDN'T HAVE BECAUSE WHEN WE
RETURNED THE RV SHE SAID SHE WAS NOT GOING TO REFUND US.Another instance was the bathroom cover vent which broke due to strong
winds in the Big Bend area that week. We sent her a video showing what
happened. She blamed of course but then said okay. WHEN WE RETURNED THE RV,
SHE CHARGED US FOR IT.Lastly, she tried to charge us for pickup of the RV after we had already
paid. I understand that she must have not read her rules carefully, but
even after she contacted outdoorsy, she was so rude about it and this is
when she told us she wasn't going to reimburse us for Oct 31st even after
she said she would that very morning. We have had several Airbnb rentals and this will be our 2nd RV rental from
outdoorsy. Never have I imagined that I would deal with this type of blame,
dishonesty, and unprofessionalism from a renter.Overall, our 10 day trip (8/10) went well. It was the 2 days we had to deal
with communicating with Fatima and also just having to deal with the
aftermath DAYS after we returned that have been a burden.Would I recommend you rent from Fatima? I would say that the price is good
if you are staying under 100 miles a day and you can have a great trip with
the RV if nothing bad happens or if you are super diligent with documenting
everything on the trip. They are not bad people. Fatima is just juggling a lot making communication
with her subpar and her anger to come out in business decisions that should
be left separate from personal."
