I am going to address each issue you have listed in your review.I told you the ceiling lights weren't working, I supplied you with 2 plug in touch lamps (not lanterns) that worked just as well as the ceiling lights would have. The tail lights do work but one of the blinkers does not. We supplied lights that do work, they are just external. We recently had some electrical work done on it and it appears the certified electrician we had do the work on it clearly didn't do a sufficient job and we are currently working on getting that remedied.There are 4 stabilizer jacks, one on each corner. I specifically told you that the back two were not down when I was showing you the camper and instructed you on how to put up and down the front two and that the back two work the same way. But yes, even with all 4 stabilizers down the camper can rock a little with movement within the camper. We do provide wheel chocks for use as well to help with stability.The privacy curtains are a little tricky to work but as long as you move them along the track at the top, they work just fine. I didn't show you how to put them back in if they came out because none of our previous renters had any issues with them. I will make note of this with future renters.There is not a heater installed in the camper itself, but there is a space heater in one of the storage bins and I showed you where it stored along with a fan and the lamps. You could have called or texted me and asked where it was if it was truly an issue.Yes, the crank to raise the camper is original but it works as it should. It does take some effort to put up but in my experience, most do as it is lifting a considerable amount of weight.The door handle did not fall off when I went in and out of it several times while I was doing the walk through with you and has never fallen off before. Clearly the set screw fell out but it was also still usable and didn't hinder the use of the door in the meantime as you could put the handle back on and use it normally. This happens, we have fixed it. The step for the camper can be a little stubborn to put on sometimes but with a little patience, it stays on just fine. The holes are not dented or worn beyond normal use. Neither we, nor previous renters have not had any issues using the step.Regarding the damage to the camper, I did respond to you and we communicated back and forth many times with the exception of a time period that we were out of town with unstable cell service. As I told you in our messages, we inspect and fix anything that may need some adjustments after each rental return and before it goes out with the next renter. If we had any thought that the counter would fail, we would have taken steps to fix it prior to the rental period. You said yourself that you didn't think it was positioned correctly so you "wiggled it" a little and that's when the damage occurred. I was not there so I can't speak to what happened but it was damage that was done to our camper while it was in your possession and per Outdoorsy, we are allowed to charge for damages and repairs needed. This was the first incident of us charging a renter for any damage and that's because it was significant damage. We are well within our right to do so in this case.In the end yes, this is a 30 year old camper and we are actively doing renovations on it to make some (mostly) cosmetic updates but in no way is it not safe or unusable. If it were, we wouldn't be renting it out. We have never had any issues reported by any previous renters. Over the past 3 weeks, the charge to the security deposit has been settled to both ours and the renters satisfaction per the Outdoorsy mediators correspondence.
