We are excited to share Vin Rouge with you! A 1993 Westfalia Eurovan, complete with the iconic pop-top tent. It has been meticulously maintained throughout his life and is a very robust and reliable vehicle . We strive to provide an authentic West Coast experience and what better way than to do it in a Westfalia?

Great ride with Vin Rouge ! An old pal, that will drive you all over Vancouver island. Everything you need is provided and Richard is very helpful.

We had a really good time with the van. Some things to pay attention to since it’s an older car, but Richard was very nice and always very responsive. Overall, well equipped, we had everything we needed for 10 days on the island.

I fell in love with the wonderful old car, the sound of the engine, the functionality inside and the relaxed way of driving not more than 80-90 km/h. Richard, the owner of the car, was very friendly and relaxed and always available during our 2-week-tour. I can fully recommend renting his pretty old lady 😍.

Our experience with Richard was great. Seamless.
Always got right back to us when we contacted him.
He has taken very good care of his old van.
The van ran like a top. Reasonable gas mileage and burned very little oil. Easy to shift and maneuver in tight spots.
We found the bed to be comfy. Doors, latches and windows worked well but everything had to be used carefully. We found that the fridge worked best with the addition of ice in a container.
Levelling blocks and a stepping stool into the van would be helpful additions.
The solar panel is a great addition to the vans systems but we found that it made the pop top heavier than expected. We found that it was much easier with an extra hand. This would be a 5 star review if not for the weight of the pop top.

We had an amazing trip up the coast with Richard’s van. It had everything we needed, easy set up, well maintained and fun to drive! We’d do it again and highly recommend!!

We had a great trip in the campervan, gave us the freedom to explore Vancouver Island. Richard met us at the ferry terminal which was great. Bed was comfy. It is quite an old van so some things were a little difficult to use, like putting up the pop up roof but we managed it, no issue for Richard who made it look very easy. Solar panel meant we had power the whole time. A few little hiccups but nothing that spoilt our trip in the van. Lovely trip Thank you Richard.

7 days in paradise on Vancouver Island. This van is a sturdy customer and Richard has kept it in peak perfect condition. Couldn’t recommend van, owner, destination enough.
