This was a great move to be able to explore Alaska! Owner was very nice and helpful, showed us how to use and work everything before we left. Vehicle came equipped with everything we needed (pillows, utensils, bear spray, mini vacuum, etc). It was perfectly roomy for the two of us and drove wonderfully. A wonderful way to explore Alaska!

Sonny's communication was fantastic as was the list of items he was willing to provide. We appreciated his help with explaining all of the features and he takes pride in the upkeep of his vehicle. My family of four had a great time exploring the Alaskan wilderness. This is a much better deal than renting an overland from a big company. He is a bit outside of Anchorage but was willing to be flexible with pick up and drop off which made it worth it. If you are looking to rent a vehicle like this look no further this one is a winner.

Truck and camper are both in great condition. We had a great time for 8 days. The owner Sonny was very accommodating. One area can be improved is, picking-up and return process can be better planned.

First of all, this set up for experiencing Alaska is perfect! So glad we didn't do it any other way. We stayed plenty warm using the buddy heater and cooked our meals easily with the gas stove. There is plenty of free camping in AK, so make sure to do your research. Overall the Alu-Cab was well supplied. Some things that would have been helpful would be a water basin/bucket, dish scrubber, larger bowl, cutting board, pot holder, and med kit. However, instead of the expected pick up location, the day before I was notified it was a different address that was further away, costing us more $. It was a friend of Sonny managing the truck, which was not communicated. The fridge was stinky and dirty. It just didn't seem very prepped for us to use it.

Excellent way to explore Alaska. Truck is well equipped with the little extras - stove, pots, camp chairs ... even bear spray - that make adventures go smoothly. Rooftop tent is super comfortable for sleeping, and it is very easy to set up and close down. Sonny was very flexible around pickup and return, and communicated clearly and promptly throughout the whole process.

The camper was great! Sonny was very responsive and the camper had all we needed for our trip. The truck is like new, clean and easy to drive. The Alucab is a great setup and very comfortable. The poptop opens and closes easily and it's surprisingly roomy inside when you flip up the bed. Came with table, chairs, cookstove, heater, and kitchen stuff. Includes an electric fridge( no ice!) too. One note; we always pack our clothes in those zippered packs(shirts, socks, etc.) when traveling and that worked great with the truck - the storage is under the seats in the truck bed and those travel packs fit neatly inside.

Sonny was great to work with! The Alu-Cab initially seemed a bit small, especially with the prediction of rain all week, but with time we came to really appreciate the rig and the ability to quickly setup and breakdown. Very efficient and had pretty much everything we needed for a great trip.

Coordinating this rental with Sonny was easy. He was very accommodating, helpful and made himself available with any questions I had. This was a surprise road trip and camping adventure with my Wife. We were very pleased with the rig, she felt comfortable and safe. Set up was fast and easy and Sonny provided plenty of amenities that made it one of the best camping trips we’ve done. The size of the rig made it easy to explore town and move on to a campsite and enjoy Alaska.
