Unfortunately this trip ran into some issues that were not dealt with very well. Evgeny the host was great initially: he picked us up at the airport and handed over the vehicle. When we picked it up we checked the levels in the tanks of the RV and it showed the tanks were partially full. He waved this issue off as a problem that a lot of RVs have and assured us that the tanks were empty. We thought nothing of it. He also assured us that the batteries were fully charged and ready. Great! ...or so we thought until we were getting ready to hit the sack that evening (about six hours after pickup): The low voltage alarms started going off indicating that the house battery was low. I instantly sent Evgeny a message asking for direction. He was immediately defensive implying that we had damaged the batteries by allowing them to drop to a low voltage (all in the few hours between pickup and parking at our camp site). He told us we would have to run the generator multiple times a day to keep the batteries alive. The generator is very noisy so we had to move away from all of our friends so that we would not disturb them in the mornings and evenings. This was our situation for the rest of the trip because Evgeny was unwilling to do anything to solve the problem until we returned to LA. When we did finally return to LA he then accused us of allowing the roof to leak (because we drove home in a heavy rain storm and the seals on the shower skylight and cab are deteriorating) - apparently he demands that renters should run constant inspections while traveling to ensure that no leaks are dripping water onto the floor. Then he accused us of failing to dump the tank because the check lights showed the tanks as being half full (conveniently forgetting that we talked about this at pickup). He then charged us an additional $400 fee for the tank dump and the battery.
Needless to say non of the above sits well with me. I went with this host because he is willing to pickup and drop at LAX. The RV is old and starting to deteriorate (clearly purchased used from Cruise America) and it is not being carefully maintained. He actually charges significantly more than Cruise America which is remarkable considering it's an old CA unit in less than great condition. Personally I am not bothered that it looks a bit old and battered if the internals work well. I can even deal with problems if the host is committed to honesty and solving issues quickly. But to be accused of damaging the RV and failing to dump the tanks etc. and then charged for the same is taking things to a new low.

This rental was exactly what we expected! We’d read prior reviews and could tell some were likely from less experienced RVers (expecting the Four Seasons). We rented the RV for our 4-night Yosemite family trip and it worked out perfectly.
The solar setup was excellent, we brought portable phone chargers since we planned to be out adventuring all day, but the solar kept the batteries nicely topped off. We ran the generator for about an hour a day and had zero issues.
Loved the thoughtful touches like the outdoor mat and camp chairs. We usually travel with a trailer that’s too large for this campground, and wouldn’t hesitate to rent from Jeff again when we want a smaller rig! This was an exceptional value when compared to other RV’s. Jeff was extremely accommodating for our pick up and drop off too!

The renter was involved in a hit-and-run incident and failed to report the resulting RV damage. Outdoorsy’s insurance investigation confirmed the renter was at fault. The renter became upset after being charged for the repair costs.

We had the most incredible experience with this RV and Jeff (Evgeny). From the start he took the time to explain all the features of the RV and how to use them. He was courteous and spent time to answer any and every question we had. The RV was reliable and super easy to drive and operate throughout our trip. If we had any issues, Jeff was quick to respond to make sure everything was okay. This rv is great for beginners like ourselves and makes for a memorable trip!! Hand off was also very easy and transparent too. I couldn't recommend this RV/Jeff's service enough to other renters. We hope to rent again in the future. Thank you again!!

Host was very good. Easy to work with and made the pick up and drop off very easy. Would definitely recommend and use Jeff in the future. The only reason I rated 4 stars was because there is a little bit of wear and tear on the RV that weren’t in the photos. Also we are unable to use the awning which was explained to us why but would have been really nice at several camp grounds. Apart from that really good size for 2 + a baby! Thanks Jeff.
