The trailer pickups and drop off was easy. However the rest of it wasn’t as straight forward.
We enjoyed the fact that we had a nice place to stay that was also pet friendly. However, there are some serious missing bits to make this camper rental experience proper. Not better but proper. The camper was clean and ready for pickup. The following did not work properly or was missing when it comes to a camper rental.
I’m a very experienced driver when it comes to trailers it’s part of my job. There were no wheel chocks included in the rental, and for the life of me I could not find the crank handle for the levelling jacks. Luckily I thought to bring my power drill to make my life easier for this.
There was a propane leak which even our neighbours smelt and we could not run the furnace or the fridge for the weekend.
We filled up the fresh water tank in hopes of having a shower over the weekend but could not get the water pump to work. We’ve even had our friends who are very familiar with campers look at it and could not get it to work either.
The rear tires for the tandem axle were all down at wear line, this would not be sufficient for CSVE. If these tires blow or go flat, you’re going to be stuck with the bill or have to wait for assistance.I feel a set of custom instructions and guidelines would be most beneficial to any renter picking up someone’s camper that they are not familiar with. This review is not to bad mouth the renter but to bring to light the experience we had and the safety hazards this trailer can bring.
