About Ashton and Jeremy Kirkeide
Nice to meet you! We are a young couple that moved to Arizona about 6 years ago from Minnesota and New York, respectively. We both loved the warm weather and wanted to escape from the snow (hence our business name, "Desert Escape." We live in Fountain Hills with our two daughters, one year Weimaraner and a 12-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. We love this area, and we hope you will love it just as much as we do!

Jeremy was an amazing host, he provided everything one could need in addition to informational video before pick up so we were ready to hit the road straight away. The van was clean and well stocked with every essential you may need. The vehicle is well maintained and again for a first time renter all questions were easy to find the answers either in the video or in the book they provided. We would definitely rent from them again!

We’ve been curious if we could travel in such a small space & dry camp, so when we spotted this class B for rent we had to try it! Yes it’s small but has all we needed for 5 days! Everything worked perfectly, beds comfortable, heater kept us toasty, easy driving and economical on the gas and propane! The video they provided was super helpful how to run everything! Genius! Now scouting for one of our own, loved it!! Great memories made! Thx Jeremy & Ashton

The van is very comfortable to drive and well set up. Ashton and Jeremy were responsive hosts. Unfortunately, we did encounter several issues with the vehicle such as a major water leak (after the host filled the vehicle) that went unnoticed until the second day and ended up soaking through our suitcases and rendering us without water for the remainder of the trip. We sent pictures and contacted the hosts but they did nothing to accomodate us. In addition, we were camping where it was very cold and unfortunately, the water tank heater was non-functional so when we did have water - the first days before we noticed the leak - we were not able to get hot water for bathing or washing dishes, etc.

We are sorry the experience was not as you expected. After reading your review, we believe some clarification might help. With many messages and calls over the rental period, we explained the operation of the generator, power, and hot water heater. After each call, everything worked. For off-grid camping, you need to keep the generator and propane on for power, heat, or the hot water heater. Every time you turned these off, all the van features did not have power.

We had a wonderful experience renting this rig. Jeremy and Ashton were great to work with, knew the rig well and explained everything we needed to know. It was clean and well kept, well stocked, and all the mechanicals worked flawlessly. It was the perfect fit for our families extended spring break!

Loved this van! Was perfect for our family of 4. Jeremy was a dream to work with, very flexible and helpful with delivery of the van, and responded to texts super fast. The total package had everything we needed! Pots/pans, flatware, even dish soap, a sponge, tissues and a wine opener!! Extra blankets for chilly nights, even tho the propane heater worked great. Got asked about the van a lot on our park road trip- and recommend it to all!
