I live in Kauai and have run vans here on Hawaii and in California for 10 years; I am a former Nat Geo producer who loves to travel the world and see all the glorious gifts nature has to offer by getting off the grid in Alaska, Kauai, Bali, Australia and more! I enjoy SCUBA, hiking and of course camping in California and Kauai...I own and operate a Dodge Ram Van custom painted by famous surf board / van mural artist Drew Brophy.

We had the NaPali Van for 4 nights and explored most of the island. It was a beautiful adventure, the process was easy and Stephanie’s help with everything was amazing too. She provided a folder with highlights and suggestions, which was super convenient. She’s also easy to reach out to and helps you out any time.
The van is beautiful but be aware that it’s an old vehicle. We were a bit worried to break something and that made us feel a little bit anxious.
The bed also was a bit too small for two people & my 6,2ft boyfriend had problems sleeping. Everything you need is provided; cooking oil, soap, dishes but the spices were the bare minimum. There were some old pepper packages & almost no salt. Be aware that on the campsite are homeless people around, that made us feel a bit uncomfortable too. All in all, it was probably the best way to explore the island and we loved our time in Kauai a lot!

This van was the worst out of the three we hired during our island hopping in Hawaii. Improvements Needed:+ No intimacy as windows allow light to come through at night
+ Light inside the van is broken. Some cheap lights were place as a replacemnt. But it doesn't do the job.
- Host highly Strict, trying to make money if campervan was picked up before 3pm. Such a unsual thing! Also, this information is not listed anywhere
+ Batteries are all connected, if they run out. Car will not start. Jumping cables will be needed.
+ Van easy to get stranded in the sand

Stephanie was so great. We had a medical issue that made us cancel and she helped so much to make sure we were taken care of and return vehicle and get as much of our money back in the return of the vehicle.

We loved our time in Kauai and Steph was awesome. She showed great thought and care. Communicated well, provided well stocked camping gear - loved attention to detail. Would recommend a tarp for further water proofing on the tent. Otherwise highly recommend!

The car was great. Stephanie is a wonderful host and gave us good suggestions. The car is practically furnished and has everything you need for camping.However, it is very challenging to camp on the island itself if you are traveling spontaneously. Approvals and reservations are needed everywhere, but these are only processed within 24 hours or longer. Most government campgrounds aren't really safe, and we didn't feel comfortable.
We can recommend Anini Beach and Kumu Camp (as Stephanie advised us. However, we didn't know that the other places are even a bit dangerous for two women alone - this knowledge would have helped us with the choice)
