About Ameya Chandrayan
We love mountains. They inspire us, their magnanimity humbles us. We are avid birders, chasing them one chirp at a time. Our 2 year old enjoys the outdoors with us, and being able to do adventures with Winifred our Camper gives us an extra level of freedom and excitement. We want everyone to experience those feelings and that's why we chose to share our camper with others.

Our family had the best week of adventures in Winifred - Ameya is a great host! Quick communication, thorough information, and the van was perfect! The kids loved sleeping in the pop up, and both beds were comfortable - we all got great sleep! This was our first time renting a camper van and everything went well thanks to all the information provided to us! We will never forget this trip!

We had an amazing time! Ameya has packed Winifred with everything you could possibly need for your trip! We’re used to driving a compact car but Winifred was easy to learn how to handle. We spent the nights both in the fold out bed and the roof top tent and thought both were comfortable. Was worried about figuring out how to use all of the utilities since this was our first time driving a camper van but ultimately found it to be super easy to use (thanks to the provided guide and initial walk through done by Ameya). Overall a wonderful experience!

Our rental experience was above and beyond anything we expected. Ameya was a wonderful host, very thorough with the tutorial at the beginning of the rental process and communication was flawless. Family of 4, with 2 teen girls( a little tight) but we made out ok. The camper is equipped 100% with what you need, we rented it for 5 nights and we wanted for absolutely nothing. The ride was very comfortable and extremely clean and furnished with all you need. We didn’t make use of the shower/toilet much, but when we did we were so happy it was there! The only thing we regret is not getting a site with electrical, sadly we had to make do with a tent site so unfortunately we had to use the generator a few times. No big deal.
We explored the coast from Astoria to Lincoln City and a little beyond, we had a wonderful time and made some great memories. Would rent again in a heartbeat next time we go to Oregon. Thank you Ameya!

Ameya is the best host, the nicest guy. Communication was perfect. Winifred was setup with all we needed to have a wonderful roadtrip that started in Portland and took us up through Washington to “Twin Peaks” and “Twilight” territories (must-sees for our daughter) staying at Washington State Parks and a VRBO along the way. We saw A LOT in one short week. Breathtaking scenery. Easy to follow instructions for maintenance and comfort while traveling took the stress out of the trip. . We’re from New Hampshire. If we ever make it back up to the PNW, we would definitely rent this van again.

Great van! Ameya was a great host! Very responsive before and during our trip. Even comes with their own app that has all the instructions! We had all the supplies we needed, and the bed was super comfy. Propane kept us warm every night and it uses very little, even with all the cooking! With that and the solar power, we could have camped off-grid for the entire 10 days if necessary! Pop-up bed was also nice when camped near the coast, as we could hear and smell the ocean! Highly recommend Winifred!

We thoroughly enjoyed out first time RVing! Our hosts Ameya and Tanvi were very acomodating and had a very sweet care package for us at arrival. They were very flexible with the pickup and drop-off times which gave us extra time to enjoy Oregon. The van was very well stocked with everything we would need for our trip and all the appliances are very well maintained. Would definitely be renting from them for our future trips!

Took a trip with my boyfriend to Oregon for a week to explore the coast and it was the perfect RV rental! This was our first time ever using or staying in an RV and Winifred was exactly what we needed. If it’s also your first time and you are nervous about how to work this thing, don’t be! Thankfully, Ameya gave us an in detail tour and instructions on how to use everything properly, and also left a manual booklet that entails everything about everything lol. We didn’t need much help after getting the hang of it the first night. The daily mileage allowance was also a blessing. We drove from Portland > Mt. Hood > Bend > California > Lincoln City and back to Portland and still had mileage left over. The bed was also pretty comfy for me and my boyfriend! This trip was an amazing experience, and renting the RV really did make up for most of it. Thank you so much for all your help and your kind and timely communication Ameya, hopefully we will see you guys again soon!

After years of daydreaming and meticulous research into the world of converted vans, I finally took the plunge a month ago to immerse myself in the van life experience, beginning with a journey through the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. With a plethora of options available on platforms like Outdoorsy and RVshare, I carefully evaluated my choices before settling on this particular rental. Not only was it offered at an enticing price point, but its status as a new van coupled with a generous daily mileage limit made it the ideal companion for my exploration of the Oregon coast. From the moment I made the booking, the host's responsiveness and proactive approach set the tone for an exceptional experience.
Equipped with all the essentials for comfortable living on the road, the van provided a cozy sanctuary amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Oregon. Cooking supplies, bedding, towels, and even tools were readily available, ensuring that every aspect of my trip was well taken care of. A thoughtful touch was the delightful gift basket filled with snacks, a small indulgence that added a touch of warmth to my journey.
Despite my initial apprehension about driving a vehicle of such size, I was pleasantly surprised by how effortlessly the van maneuvered along the winding roads of Highway 101. The inclusion of rear-view and backup cameras, along with driver assist features, significantly eased any concerns, making the journey a breeze. Comfort was paramount, and the van provided a haven of relaxation throughout my travels. In fact, returning to my regular vehicle after the trip felt like a downgrade in comparison!
For someone with NO experience in RVS or camper vans, the detailed manual, both in print and digital formats, proved invaluable. Clear instructions made operating every aspect of the van a straightforward task, allowing me to focus on enjoying the journey without any unnecessary complications.
One aspect that truly stood out was the host's support and assistance. From promptly addressing my inquiries to facilitating seamless pick-up and drop-off arrangements, their dedication to ensuring a memorable experience was evident at every turn. The affordability of the rental made it a no-brainer decision, offering exceptional value for the enriching experience it provided.

We rented "Winifred" for 6 nights for our 1st visit to OR / WA. I was amazed at how well maintained the vehicle was. All items worked perfectly (Fridge, heat / hot water, water pump, solar panel - which I was amazed at how well it kept charged and operated everything on the vehicle, the generator and most awesomely, the LED lights that are on the ceiling - what a fun little bit of flair) The vehicle was extremely capable and got us to the Mt. Rainier parking lot (even though it was a bit slow going due to the extreme climb in elevation), it got us to some off the beaten path dispersed camping spots and never gave us any trouble. The bed is super comfortable and fit my husband and I (5'5 and 5'9) without a problem (we never did open the pop up as it was cold and there were only 2 of us travelling) but that's a nice bonus to have if we would've had more guests. Ameya could not have been more accommodating. He was kind enough to schedule to drop the camper van to us at the airport (for an understandable added fee) as well as pick the camper up from us at our hotel when our stay was over. He walked us through the ins & outs of the vehicle and how to properly operate everything (and also has a super handy guide if you have questions while on your trip). He also helped us with some cool sites to see along the way! Could not have asked for a better 1st experience both with a camper van and the OR/ WA area! I would highly recommend this van & owner to anyone who asked!

Loved this rental- great orientation too so we felt familiar with the van before we left. Highly recommend Winifred the Solis! Great overall experience.

AMAZING!!!! Ameya and his wife Tanvi are incredible. Even before we picked up Winifred, they were so supportiive and helpful. They truly made the entire experience memorable and unforgrtable. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and they welcomed us with a very thoughtful care package. The van was immaculate and they have EVERYTHING that you could possibly need for a road trip. We felt like family by the end of the trip. After shopping around for the best deal, choosing to go with Amaya and Tanvi was a no-brainer. We could not have been more impressed with the support and guidance. We will definitely rent from them again if we are out west. If it was possible we would rate them a 10 out of 5!

We had an incredible first-time RV experience with 'Winifred' during our 3-day Oregon coast drive. The camper was impressively equipped with bedding, kitchen tools, and RV hookup equipment, all neatly organized. The owners provided a thorough tour and a user-friendly guide, making our first RV adventure hassle-free. Their thoughtful touches, like mood lighting, added to our comfort. In addition to all this, 'Winifred' was a breeze to drive. The owners warm and accommodating hospitality made it even better.

This was an incredibly well set up van with everything that you would need for your trip. If you are coming from out of town all you need is your clothes and a stop at the grocery store and head off to your adventure. Great people, easy to work with and very responsive.
