The host was courteous and the RV was reasonably clean on pick-up.
Several features of the RV were not working, like the ignition for two of the three gas rings on the cooktop, the level indicators for the water, gray and black tanks. None of the GFCI outlets were working.
On checking the oil level in the engine with the host, it was found to be below the minimum level on the dipstick. I added oil at the first opportunity. Also, there were no chemicals to keep the black tank Snelling sweet, so I purchased them at Canadian Tire. The host subsequently reimbursed me for both items
The RV was comfortable although a bit cramped for 4 adults, and we enjoyed a good trip overall.

Our family of four enjoyed an amazing almost two weeks exploring Haida Gwaii in this wonderful motorhome. Ben was so patient and helpful when we had some rookie questions during the first few nights away. Everything was so turn key and simple for us as brand new RV-ers. The motorhome was a perfect size for the four of us - we really enjoyed our adventure. Thank you so much!!

The description is not how we picked it up! This was our third time renting from Outdoorsy and we'd had two good experiences in the past. We were informed two days prior to our pickup date that the awning had been damaged by the previous renter and was not able to be used. We understood it was out of his control, so we told him we were fine with it. Upon picking the RV up, we went through the paperwork and took our pictures. He informed us the gaiges for the water and grey and black water weren't working. He said that we would have to use our gut to decided when to empty them. He showed us outside where the previous renter had damaged the handle on the valve you open to empty the black water and also lost the cap to the drain. Which made dumping that much more gross and difficult. Before leaving we decided to look in a drawer and cupboard and realized everthing they said in their rental posting that would be included was not there. It was supposed to include dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, bedding etc. It had nothing. Literally nothing. Not even a waste basket. We asked him about it and he said most "local" people don't want any of that stuff, but he didn't ask us if we did or didn't. He said he had some basics in his garage he could pull out if we wanted. At that point we were trying to leave and decided we wouldn't trust the items he offered and just bring our own. We asked him if he'd done a test drive prior to our pick up and he said no. When we got on the road, there was a fanbelt that was screaching off and on the entire drive to our destination and back.
When we got the RV home and started bringing our things out to it is when we really starting seeing the issues. It was filthy inside. To the eye it was okay until you looked or touched. The freezer had someones old food in it. Thawed and sitting in a puddle of brown water. The fridge was dirty. The bathroom faucets were covered in someone elses toothpaste spit and who knows what else. There was food and personal items in the upper cabinets. The stove was greasy and had food bits on it. The microwave was dirty inside. The head board had dog hair all over one side of it. The windows had dog nose prints and finger prints all over them. One cabinet door pretty much fell of its hinges the first time we opened it. The screws literally fell out when the door opened. One of the roof vents didn't have a handle to open it so we couldn't use it. We had to thouroughly clean the unit before we could begin to load. We went on our camping weekend. Came home unloaded and cleaned the rv again. Only leaving the windows for them to clean. We talked to the owner about all of these issues when we returned it. He was apologetic but only offered the explanation of "my wife cleaned it for five hours before you picked it up. It was much worse before that". Totally unacceptable response to this problem. There was no form of compensation offered. Nor did he really seem to be concerned about it. We did get a message after we got home saying "my wife says thank you for leaving it cleaner than when you got it". This was a totally unaccepatable rental experience. On a positive note, other than the screaming fanbelt off and on the whole trip, mechanically the rv ran well.

Ben’s RV was the perfect choice for our 9 day trip through the beautiful Canadian Rocky National Parks. We are not experienced RV’rs so Ben gave us a good walk through before we left. I had a question about the water supply while on the road And he responded immediately. RV was clean and comfortable for my wife and me. We could have easily had two or three kids but probably a bit tight for 2 adult couples (especially if the weather is not cooperating). Overall, a great way to experience extreme beauty!
