Pros: the RV was nicely maintained, comfortable master bed, well stocked and clean. Anthony was responsive to messages and prompt with replies.Cons and the reasons for the bad review.
After Anthony accepted the reservation, he started telling me about bad renters who let the waste water tank over flow and fill the shower basin, and how he had to get the rv professionally cleaned. I promised him it was only me my wife and 5year old staying and it would be treated as if it was my own. A few days before the trip he raised that concern again. I told him we would limit the shower usage. I also told him the site had a 50 amp service. No water or sewer. He asked if there was public restrooms or portable toilets on site. When Anthony arrived on site with the RV to set it up, we got I was pleased, until he checked the Blackwater tank readout showing full and kinda flickering to 2/3 full. This concerned me on but he said that shouldn’t be the last renters said they would not use the bathroom. I asked is there a way to be sure the readout was correct, he said if it was full I’d smell it and to let him know. Later that night I noticed it didn’t smell great. The next day I told him it had a smell and I was concerned. About midday the next day (it was hot and humid) the second issue arose. Anthony had used a 30amp to 20amp adapter to plug the RV in. There was nothing else on that breaker but it kept popping. So in the heat of the day I could not keep the trailer cool. This coupled with the growing smells make for an uncomfortable stay.
During the trip Anthony asked how things were going and when I mentioned the issues I was having he blew it off with a response was good and bad I guess. I feel as though it was more bad than good.
I’m not one to leave bad reviews and do believe that things happen, but I do also believe that better preparation on the host would have made this experience much better.
