I hadn't heard anything from him, so I had to remind the host about our rental just a few days before it was due to start. While we were literally driving to the location where he was delivering it, he messaged and told us that we might need to cancel because the camper required 50 amp and the campsite only offered 30 amp. The other options he suggested were to try to find a 50 amp site (at a very popular and always busy campground) or he could try to find an adapter (but it was Sunday afternoon). I was a little surprised because I'm an experienced camper owner and I would always, always have a 30-50 amp adapter with me. Plus, there was no mention of a 50 amp requirement in the listing. Plus, you don't really need 50 amp unless you're running two AC units. Well, fortunately, he finally discovered an adapter in his tool kit (how did he not know he had one before he called us?) and we were able to start the rental. So, he was a little late getting everything setup, but that was no big deal. Then he realized that the site didn't have sewer, and he'd have to charge us $100 to empty the tanks. Okay, no problem but that also wasn't in the listing. He finally got everything set up and we moved in. Everything was okay, I have nothing to really major complain about. The listing was a bit misleading, though, as he said 24 bottles of water and only gave 12 for a 5 day rental while at the same time telling us to only use bottled water for the icemaker and the coffee maker. Most of the spices were old and unusable, I wish I had brought my own. The air fryer must have been a first generation model with just a timer and temperature control. The coffee maker was very finicky and had to be attended to the whole time making coffee. The bed was hard as a rock (might we suggest a thick mattress topper?), but the couch was comfy, and the blankets and pillows were nice. We had some friends bring us a griddle to cook on, else we would have had no way to cook food...including a grill in the rental seems like it would be a no-brainer. The host left a bunch of snacks, coffee pods, oatmeal packs, and hot chocolate, etc., which was a nice touch, though we didn't use any of it. So, bottom line: it was okay. Not bad, not excellent, but okay. I'm not sure if we were charged for dumping the tanks or not, because I haven't seen a final bill from Outdoorsy. We originally booked for 5 nights but only stayed 3 because of rain in the forecast, and I think the invoice was over $1000, plus an $850 deposit. The rental fee was only $450, but the set up fees, mandatory insurance, and other junk fees added another $600 to the rental. I'm pretty sure I won't use Outdoorsy again.

We had the most amazing experience with Travis this past week. This was my first time camping at the beach and Travis took the time to assure that all of our needs were met. It was truly a turn-key experience. The RV was spotless, literally felt brand-new to us. I want to give you all the details so that you will know what an outstanding experience this was. Two things that are small in detail but large in impact stand out to me: Travis provided a wireless/bluetooth thermometer for us to monitor our sweet grandpup while we were at the beach so that she didn't get too hot while we were away and he left dog treats for us! How thoughtful!! I mean who encourages pets like this???

Thank you, Travis, for being such an amazing host! My family appreciated (especially my wife) all of the personal touches/extras you included that made our arrival and stay comfortable. Your attention to safety and cleanliness was spot on. Some of the friends we traveled with had "nightmare" experiences with their owners and RV's, with one family having to leave and go home. We, on the other hand, had firsthand guidance as well as an organized binder with everything we needed to know in case we forgot something. The icemaker, snacks, water, airfryer, grill, etc. all contributed to a great experience for my family. I grew up RV camping, but this was a first for my family, and they had a great time. Thanks again for everything.

Travis went over and above to make our weekend enjoyable. The camper was set up and ready as soon as we got there. He was very thorough with making sure we had everything we needed, he even left us snacks an a case of water in the fridge! 10 out of 10 star experience. We will definitely book again in the future. Thank you again.
