This van was great for my long weekend at the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, NM. Camped in parking lots & at the Grand Canyon and throughout the trip, Denver was very responsive any time I had a question about something. He even included lots of little things - first aid kit, table, cookware, and blankets - that made the trip much more comfortable! Highly recommend!

The van is the ideal coast / camp / Cali road warrior. It’s clear that there’s been a lot of thought put into giving a truly turnkey experience. The bed, storage, fridge, and roof deck were fantastic. Easy communication and pickup!

We had a great experience with Denver and his awesome van - El Toro! First off Denver went well out of his way to help us out and make our trip easier - and we were so appreciative of his hospitality. He's a genuinely authentic, nice guy who wants you to have a great trip. The van, though older and with some expected quirks, was perfect for us. You'll be the envy of the campground when people see you on the rooftop drinking coffee or evening beverages! It's just very fun to be driving such a unique rig. Denver also made sure everything in the van was clean and provided many unexpected extras that we didn't have to purchase. If you like adventure, have a relaxed attitude, and appreciate looking and feeling like a local, this van and this owner are for you! Thanks for everything Denver!

Denver "Joe" was a great host and thoroughly enjoyed his vehicle. It's not overly fancy, but worked well and was packed with fun little add ons. The vehicle worked as described and the roof deck was a big hit with the kids and the adults alike. Really enjoyed the use of the vehicle and would definitely recommend it to friends.

This van is awesome. First time renting a camper van, and had a great experience. Denver (new owner) was super friendly, responsive, and answered all my questions. The van is exactly as described and easy to drive. It has everything you need to have a really nice time away from it all. That awning makes a big positive difference out in the sun and keeps the van interior cool.
10/10 ... would El-toro again :-)

Another perfect week in the green machine. Eddy is super easy to rent from. Easy pick up/drop off. The van is great for a surf trip. Will for sure rent again in the future.

The green machine is awesome! We rented the RV for a week and stayed around San Diego. With the van we were able to get some amazing views of the coast with beach front campsites- wouldn’t have had that experience staying in a hotel! The weather in San Diego was perfect for sleeping in the van. We were able to get around the city fine as the van isn’t too big to maneuver as opposed to other rental vans/rvs. It had just enough to live comfortable while still being outside as much as possible. The van itself is definitely a conversation started we had tons of people comment on how rad it was. Eddy and Michelle were great hosts and did a great job on answering questions and being available. We would rent it again!

We're back from a 2 weeks road trip in South California and we really wanted to thanks Eddy for all ! He made our trip exceptionnel by advise us some great place to see and restaurant to eat. Eddy and his friend were also extremely helpful in explaining everything and making arrangements. The van aka "The green machine" is really convenient and got all of the camping essentials that we needed and they were all in great condition. We went and slept in the desert, near beaches or mountain trails without any problem. We used the camping gear daily for cooking and coffee and Eddy let us a free gas bottle and 2 gallons of fresh water when we arrived.
All in all, I highly recommend Eddy's van if you want to experience a crazy road trip in California !!

We took the van on a true California road trip where we experienced it all - sun, snow, rain, mountains, and beaches. Eddy’s van lives up to all, and we turned quite a few heads while doing it! Eddy was very easy to work with and communicated with us throughout the entire trip. The van drove great and was super comfortable to live in for our nearly 2 week trip. It had all of the camping essentials that we needed and they were all in great condition.

I just came back from a 10-day trip in Southern California in Eddy's van -- and it was amazing! The reason why I started looking for a van was that I could bring very little luggage with me: I didn't have room for tent, burner, sleeping bag, etc. in my 30-liter backpack. Yet, I wanted to visit some remote places such as the Joshua Tree desert where there are no hotel facilities, only campgrounds, and no water source or shopping center nearby. So for me, renting a camper van was the perfect solution: I could choose a new destination every day, at the last minute, and even if the campgrounds were full (they all were) I could sleep in empty parking lots or ask people if they wanted to share the parking space and split the costs.
Eddy's van was just perfect for those plans: I slept in the desert (for climbing), near beaches (for surfing and diving), mountain trails (for biking) and shopping mall parking lots (when transitioning from one place to another). Every day I would use Eddy's camping gear for cooking and preparing coffee. I also used the shower once or twice: it wasn't a long, hot shower, but it was enough to clean the dust.
The Green Machine is a sturdy, reliable beast that catches the eye. It's probably the first time I have driven a car that attracts so many looks and questions! On the other hand, it's not plastered with stickers or fancy colors, so I could park it in residential areas without bringing too much attention on myself.
At $120/day, this van is probably a bit more expensive than renting a small car and booking chear airbnbs. Also, it's big and slow but hey, who cares? We're in the USA, not Germany! Finally, it does use a lot of gas (~15-20L/100km). However, it very much makes up for it in convenience and confort. Eddy and his friend were also extremely helpful in explaining everything and making arrangements. Hell, they even lent me a trumpet for training on the road! 🎺

I asked Edgardo a bbuuunnnnchhhhhh of questions, and he was very patient with me. I'm really grateful that I was able to get the rental through Eddy. I had FOUR other owners cancel on me -- SO FRUSTRATING. A few drawbacks though: If you have a lot of electronics that need to be charged, it may be to demanding for the battery system that he has. The side mirror constantly needs to be manually adjusted (you have to lower the window and push it back out, which is a bit of a hazard), the cupboards might pop out when you make a turn. These are all minor though, and I'm still very happy with the rental.
