Unfortunately, I cannot leave a positive review. The vehicle we received was not in roadworthy condition. In fact, it was hazardous. The tires were so degraded that we had to have all 4 replaced immediately after departure. One tire, in particular, was so worn it started to separate revealing the steel belting through the split. We realized there was a problem only once we hit the interstate because the ride was so bumpy (on a smooth roadway) due to the tires be out of round.
The windshield wipers were worn to the point of being non functional and the washer fluid reservoir was empty.
All these items had to be replaced by us on our vacation time. The owners did pay for the items and did so promptly and without debate.
Additionally, the propane stove top did not work properly so it was non functional and the fridge had a horrible odor that permeated our fresh food. We did not discover the odor until we began to stock the fridge. In other words, after the food had been purchased. There were a few food items left in the van, presumably from a previous rental, that should have been discarded. A bag of marshmallows might seem like a generous offering but when half the bag is dried hard and solid and the other half is melted together into a gooey lump, it’s really just garbage that has not been thrown out.
The Solis had only 34k miles and after the repairs and replacements it performed as expected.
The sleeping arrangements, 2 in the coach and 1 up above in the pop up, were comfortable. The inside shower and toilet were not utilized. We did use the included hose and garden spray nozzle to shower outside and this worked well, however, the privacy screen set up was a bit wonky. Not a big deal for us, but someone more modest might find it troubling.
So, there you have it.
My final comments are as follows; the owners were immediately responsive when we presented the problems and, as mentioned above, paid for the repairs without debate. At the end of our trip they offered compensation of roughly 16% the total rental cost. The dollar value of the discount may be adequate to cover the added expenses of dining out and discarded food, but in no way compensates us for the lost time and, most importantly, the potential danger my family was placed in due to there negligence.
I recommend to anyone renting an RV, check the vehicle carefully before departure. Don’t let freshly applied tire shine fool you into believing you have good rubber, and don’t rely on the hosts claim the vehicle has been checked out.
Additionally, I would be very wary if considering a vehicle owned by Ventures Away, LLC.

We rented this 2022 Airstream Bambi and took it out to Dogtown Lake, AZ for a long weekend—and it was amazing! The camper was spotless, modern, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable trip. You can really tell the owners take pride in maintaining it.

From the moment we saw the beautifully detailed van and met Tyler, we knew we had chosen well. The van is well maintained and well stocked. The bedding was comfortable and cozy. There was suddenly a problem with no power in the back of the van. Tyler’s response to our message was quick, and resolved the issue … we had inadvertently turned off the power switch above the refrigerator. Having taken the van on a 2 week, 1,500 mile boondocking road trip, we can say we were extremely satisfied with our “accommodations”. We highly recommend both Tyler and the van.

We loved that it was really versatile and we could pack up and go since we had a huge agenda. I love that it was the right size to navigate going through parking lots in the national park as well as campgrounds. We really appreciated Tyler‘s effective communication throughout since we were nervous and getting everything set up and making sure we had everything we needed. But nothing to worry about there, bc it had everything we needed!!

Three words for Tyler, World Class Service. If you are looking for a down to earth host who is knowledgeable and truly wants your trip to be memorable this is it. This camper trailer exceeded our needs for a camping trip to the Grand Canyon for a family of four. Thanks again Tyler.

The van had absolutely everything we needed for our short trip to Death Valley. We were both first time RVers, so there was a bit of a learning curve but we loved being able to get away from the crowds in Furnace Creek. However, the best thing about renting this RV is working with Tyler! He is laidback, accommodating, friendly and has the van very well stocked. Cannot recommend more highly.
