The trailer worked well. We appreciate the care taken to park it exactly where we asked. It arrived with the freshwater tank at 1/3 full and the propane smell was prevalent. They sent someone to check the propane; he resealed the connections (helped a little). They did not fill the water (we ended up connecting to house water).

After another host canceled on me at the last minute, I had to scramble to find something, and Happy Campers made it happen. My needs were a bit outside their parameters, but they were exceptionally responsive and worked with me to figure it out. As a first-time renter and trailer camper, I found them great at helping me understand what to expect and what to do. For health reasons, I can no longer tent camp, so without Happy Campers, I was not going to attend my annual family camping trip. Thank you for saving the day!

We were a group of 7 and took this RV to Crater Lake for our first RV trip. The RV was in great condition, clean, and comfortable, and the slide-out made a big difference by giving us extra living space. Hunter was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the trip. Since it was our first time renting an RV, we had lots of questions, and he patiently answered every one of them over text. He also processed our refund promptly, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend renting from Hunter!

Overall a good trip and trailer. It was clean and functioned perfectly for the dads and daughters camping trip. Enough room on the bunks for my 8 year old and sufficiently comfortable main bed for me at 6’2”. Tips - being everything the trailer doesn’t have anything but a few rolls of TP. You bring anything to cook with, utensils, tools, food prep and service and trash bags. We didn’t need much but I would have thought there might have been a paper towel holder or hand soap. FYI. The a/c worked great, fridge took 24 hours to get to temp, tip would be to ask for that to be on a day before your trip otherwise your living out of a cooler for the first day. Taking a shower - whenever the shower drain plug was removed to bathe, it smelled like a direct link to the worst smell in the country, showered quickly and put the drain plug back and leave the bathroom for at least 20 minutes with the fan going. Probably needs a flush and chemicals it was wildly unpleasant. Easy trip, good camper, good host. This’ll be an annual trip so we’ll be renting again next year. Maybe a larger trailer with pop out for next time.

Matt was attentive with a quick response when we had troubles on the road. Turned out it was a fuse in our pick up. Renting was a good experience before we bought a camp trailer of our own.

They are willing to work with your schedule and are very communicative. So far, we have rented twice with Happy Camper and have been thrilled each time. Prices and fees are very reasonable, and being local to Chico, it really pays off in the long term.
