Paul cook was a terribly dismissive host he was late and after showing us the RV told us we had to top up the propane and gave us $20 dollars. We asked if there was any blocking or chalks and he said no they weren’t required. He also told us to also fill up the DEF tank which again was empty. It required 4 litres. So our first day after going to Canadian Tire cost us appropriately $$100 Mind you we had the RV now for approximately 1 1/2 hours. We then proceeded on our first camping trip ever with our son and his family. We set up the first night just to sleep in it. We had no water or power. The second night we moved sites and got underway to set everything up. Lo and behold the Rv was smelling like sour gas. We immediately informed our son who told us to call Paul Cook. He told us it was probably the toilet and to pour water down it and add pucks. Our son did that. It didn’t get better. Another call was placed. He said possibly the sink was the culprit. Again our son came over. Nope not the problem. We told him we wanted to bring it back the smell was so bad. He argued and then talked to our daughter in law and told her to calm down she was being emotional. Phone was hung up. Paul later caller to ask us once again to check to see if it was the batteries. And once again our done came. The batteries cells were dry and boiling. After that Paul stated he had to go to Costco and replace them. He arrived at our site the next day with replacement batteries. We were late leaving for our next site in Parksville. He and my husband talked and agreed he would refund us 2 days. They shook hands. When we returned the Rv one day early he rushed out to take pictures we were packing our car and left him to do his thing. We still have not received any word from him He said he thought we had left. When my husband knocked on his door he informed him that he had already talked to outdoorsy and you had agreed 1 day refund was sufficient. Wow. The photos I took include a dirty Rv a vacuum cleaner still full dirty bbq and it goes on. If you want those picture I am happy to provide them

We had a great trip! The RV was easy to drive, and had no surprises. Videos were very helpful, and the host was very accommodating!

What a great way to discover Vancouver Island ! We travelled from South to West to East to North and back South again. EASY! The RV is easy to drive, easy to connect to water and electricity (we are first-timers in an RV with hook-up) and very well-equipped for preparing meals, and relaxing around the BBQ and then the propane Firepit during campfire ban.
I would recommend max 5 people (the table bed mattresses slip and separate, making it difficult for 2 people)
The RV is a reasonable size to drive, while being spacious enough to live in, thanks to the Slide, which doubles the free space inside.
Paul is a very good host, and responds very fast to queries. His videos are great for preparing for the trip and save everyone time at pickup - and serve as a reference during the trip. Good idea!
Outdoorsy is an excellent, reassuring website with reminders and checkups at each stage of booking and travelling.

Our family of 4 had a fantastic experience renting Paul's RV. The RV is well maintained, fully outfitted and easy to drive. Communication with Paul was really great and he responded quickly to my questions. He was patient and reassuring to work with for our first RV trip. Highly recommended. Thanks Paul!

It’s a nice rental experience with paul and his RV, super detailed and paul prepared lots things in the RV to make sure you will enjoy your trip 100%, the RV is good maintained and super cleaned when I got it, and Paul sent us lots his videos for how to use it, I’m the first time to try this and Paul’s video is very detailed And helpful, the whole family enjoy it very much, thanks again.

Paul was super helpful in preparing us for the trip, during and after. He made everything super easy for booking and answering any questions we had. The RV itself is in great condition and drives extremely well. We were exploring the island and got hit with a ton of snow and the RV handled it so well. The awning is an awesome feature. Awesome trip, will definitely book again if we are in BC.

Paul took the time to explain how the RV worked and what to look out for. He is very calm and supportive. We felt at ease with the RV. We had a lovely time camping as a family. The Rv was roomy and comfortable.

Paul was such a gracious RV host. It was our first experience and his thoroughness with operational videos made it seamless. The detail provided to manage the RV was exceptional. It made our trip an ease to drive and tour about in. It was fully equipped with all the essential kitchen tools and cleaning supplies. An onboard bbq and a large outdoor carpet was also perfect for outdoor gatherings. All in all, the Mercedes Winnebago was incredibly comfortable, a pleasure to travel in and everything worked as it should. Thanks so much!!

My family rent Paul’s RV two times during this summer. The RV itself is in good condition, clean and easy to drive. Paul is friendly, fast response and answer all my questions along my trips. My family had lots of great memories in this RV! Will definitely come back for more RV trips!

Paul is wonderful! He is kind and explains all the working systems. The Winnebago is beautiful and comfortable to drive, live, and sleep in.

Paul was very accomodating and tried to ensure our trip was a good one. We had some electrical issues the first night and Paul came to our location to fix it and also called a mobile mechanic to come as well. Paul even reimbursed us for the inconvience. The diesel engine sips the fuel as well as the propane fridge only used $10 for a week. Bed was comfy and you need to bring your own bedding. The unit is very easy to drive and turning radius is great for tight areas. A hot shower while camping was a real treat along with a microwave. We had some difficulty with Bluetooth on the stereo so best to bring your own speaker. He said there was an app to download to use the bluetooth but we had no cell lhone receltion most of the time.
My daughter was getting married so we parked the RV at the venue and used it as a dressing room and we later slept there as well. Very convenient. Overall a great experience.
