The camper itself was nice and we enjoyed our trip, but the rental experience was disappointing. The biggest issues were misleading fees and extremely poor communication.
The listing advertises FREE DELIVERY, yet there is a mandatory $250 setup fee supposedly covering setup, cleaning, cleaning supplies, and other expenses. Despite that, the only cleaning items provided were a tiny amount of dish soap, a sponge, paper towels, toilet paper, and a broom/dustpan we didn’t find until the end. We had to buy our own cleaning supplies, then received a text on our last night asking us to clean before pickup. Paying a $250 cleaning/setup fee and then buying supplies and cleaning ourselves is frustrating.
Communication was worse. Calls and texts before booking went unanswered, Outdoorsy responses were slow, and I had to reach out on arrival day just to confirm setup. No instructions were provided. I had to ask if it was locked and where the keys were. We finally found the keys on our LAST DAY hidden under forks in the silverware drawer, along with an information binder hidden in a cabinet. Nice camper, but poor communication and questionable fee transparency seriously hurt the experience.

We rented Thomas' 2022 Mallard T18OBH "Sprout" for a 7-day family trip to Pirateland at Myrtle Beach, and it was great. The camper was delivered and set up at our site before we arrived, clean but not flawless, of which I expect anywhere. I thought it would be more roomy than it actually was, but worked nicely for this trip. I will be considering upsizing our future rentals because there is limited space and only slept 3 adults comfortably (2 short females and one tall male). I have never used a rental camper before, Thomas was a great host, and was prompt with replying to my texts within minutes during the trip. We would absolutely rent from him again!

We enjoyed our stay and communication went well! The unit could’ve been cleaned a little better and the provided cooking utensils weren’t the greatest but we brought some of our own things to use and so overall we enjoyed it!

Great customer service. The fridge/freezer smelled like mold even after a week with baking soda and a cleaning. The shower was excellent. The couch has seen a lot of surface wear; but was comfortable. Found plenty of toilet paper but no paper towels. The Keurig was a nice added extra. Compared to other rental companies -- MTRV Rentals did a great job - love the early drop off. A few items we missed: Cleaning supplies (wet floor wipes), small sweeper, plastic containers for leftovers, and a toaster. Thank you for being assessable when we had questions! Great week in comfort.

We had a great experience renting from MTRV Rentals this past weekend! The camper was clean, fully set up, and ready for us when we arrived, which made everything so easy and stress-free. The owner was incredibly helpful, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. We really appreciated how smooth everything went and would definitely rent from them again. Highly recommend!
