Such an easy and smooth process - thank you so much! The campervans are clearly well maintained and looked after - a lot of thought has gone into them. Really responsive to all my queries, I could not fault anything!

Merci à Quirky et Stephen qui ont été très disponibles ! Nous avons vécu une très belle expérience à bord du Kakariki. Il a su nous faire découvrir sur ces deux mois la beauté de la Nouvelle Zélande. Fiable et très confortable, ce van a tout le nécessaire pour vivre une chouette aventure !

We had a wonderful trip with Mary Rose! The owners were very helpful and accommodating with our one way itinerary and the van was clearly built with attention to detail. It was stocked with everything we needed - dishes, cooking equipment, a French press for coffee, and even a nice little mesh screen cover for the sliding door opening so we could hang out in the van with the breeze coming in but no sand flies! We particularly appreciated the super comfy bed, the back up camera, and the solar panel / battery setup - we didn’t ever have to plug the van in for power. Pick up and drop off were super easy as well. We’d definitely rent Mary Rose again!

Sunny is incredible. Fully reliable for a month in the South Island, exceptionally well thought through and equipped, spacious (plenty of room for myself and my 6’3 partner! He could stand up fully with no issues- hooray!), and a very comfortable bed.

The van was as promised, and very nice that the owners provided some snacks for on the road.
It is however a campervan that has + 260.000 km on the road, and was a bit cramped for us (2 adults for 2 weeks) at times. Not a huge amount of storage space, but again the owners were nice enough to let us leave our travel luggage with them and store our clothes in Dorothy's storage spaces.

Takahē was such a rad van to rent!! It's perfect for a solo traveler and so easy to get around with. It is the ultimate New Zealand cruise van with all the basic essentials you would need. I loved rolling up to campgrounds and showing her off with all her rad decals and was approached several times with a load of compliments. Whenever I am back in NZ then I'll definitely be taking Takahē for a spin again!!

Milford was a home away from home. We absolutely loved our stay, the bed was one of the comfiest I've slept in, amazing solar power meaning we didn't need to book powered sites and the homey interiors meant we didn't feel like we had to sacrifice any of the creature comforts. James was also a great help, easily contactable before, during and after our booking. We'll be sending all our friends James & Milford's way.

My girlfriend and I recently took Cliff out for a 3 week tour of the South Island. Cliffs owner Kirsten was great, she provided some recommendations for hikes around the area and had cliff stocked with tea, coffee, chocolates and all the required kitchen accessories you could need. Cliff was comfy, cute, and practical all in one, with a bed plenty big enough, fairy lights, and a fridge that can fit a wine bottle standing up, what more could you want. Cliffs also stocked with a whopping battery and solar panels that meant that we didn’t need to plug at all. We drove around 3000km and only had one issue with the solar panels, which Kirsten managed to get someone out to fix straight away even though we were the other side of the island. We would highly recommend Cliff and would love to come back to explore more of New Zealand.

We had an amazing trip on the South Island of New Zealand with Kowhai. The campervan drove smooth, had everything we needed and the owner and Quirky Campers responded fast if we needed them.

My girlfriend and I rented a van from Logan, Pēpe, for a month. Everything went smoothly during our exchanges with Quirky and Logan (the owner). We would recommand Quirky, the are very responding. The van was clean and it was like the pictures. It was our little home for a month. We got a lovely surprise that the van got self-contained just before the start of our trip. It helped us a lot. Logan was really responsive and helped us with every matter that occured during our trip. The only thing is Pēpe is slow. It will get you where you want to go, but keep it mind that your travel time can be longer then expected.

My partner and I hired Mary Rose for a 10-day trip around the South Island, and it was amazing! Matt was super helpful, happily accommodating a one-way trip and giving us great travel tips that made our trip smooth and fun.
The van was so easy to drive, even for me on my first time driving a van, and my partner said it was much nicer than others he’s driven. It had everything we needed and more filling up fuel and water, emptying the grey water, and setting up for cooking was all really simple.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, even better than our bed at home! The only downside was that 10 days wasn’t nearly enough. New Zealand is stunning, and we could have spent forever exploring. We absolutely fell in love with van life, and we would definitely choose Mary Rose again if we come back.

We had the most incredible 9 days with Dorothy, exploring the beautiful South Island! We couldn't be more grateful, she is just perfect, has everything you could ever need and more - Steve & Kaylene have thought about everything! Easy to drive, easy to set up, extremely comfortable bed and just such a cosy little home away from home - we miss her already! Thank you Steve & Kaylene for allowing us to enjoy such a special, beautiful little van. The communication was seamless, pick up location was convenient, and owners were so lovely and welcoming. We had the best time and would love to see Dorothy again one day! Couldn't recommend her more!!
