About Road Trip's RV rentals

We specialize in providing adventure camping vehicles ready to explore Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. Our vehicles come stocked with everything you will need for your road trip including bedding, cooking and kitchenware, cleaning supplies, maps, guide books, camp chairs and more. Our Portland OR location is conveniently located 3 miles from the Portland International Airport and just a block from the light rail MAX station making it easy to get to and from the airport or just about anywhere in Portland. Our hours of operation are 9 AM to 4 PM for pick up and drop off times.

Good customer service. Van was old but relatively easy to drive; needed a few minor upgrades, such as a working defrost and new wipers. Need for premium gas increased cost of trip. Bed very comfortable: appreciated the cotton sheets and down comforter. Better kitchen equipment than in most rental vans, though box holding it was too big and heavy---should be divided into smaller boxes. Appreciated the folding chairs and table. Some of the promised grocery-type supplies were just not there or in small quantities. Found some of the systems hard to use: water container too large and heavy and spout too hard to turn; snaps on blackout curtains too hard to close, pop-up hard to lower. But those were details. Overall the van was a comfortable home for a couple weeks of travel.

Rico was quick to communicate when we reached out. The van had everything we needed and more for our family of 4 to cruise the Oregon Coast in comfort. We hope to return again!

Such a fun time in our eurovan! It was so cozy and perfect for 2 people. We pick up and drop off were seamless and they even accommodate a last minute early pick up when our flight landed early. We would 100% rent again.

The 4x4 Revel camper van was perfect for our weeklong road trip to the Steens Mountain area. It was easy to drive and convenient to have sleeping, eating and washing amenities available at all times. Also, the folks at RTO were great to work with from reservations to return. We are already thinking about where we can go next!

We absolutely loved our road trip around Oregon in the Winnebago Solis Pocket camper van. I was worried we'd feel cramped and uncomfortable, but we did not. It was a great way to cover a lot of ground and see a big part of this gorgeous state! Thank You for a great vacation!!!

The van was really well equipped with everything we needed, kitchen supplies, implements, etc. Very well thought out. All electrical and water systems worked flawlessly. A fun comfortable experience that made us want to pursue the van life thing further...

The camper is fairly old so don't expect any modern conveniences. I was concerned about the milage (nearly 250K) but we had no issues. Everything except the awning worked (it was broken, but we were not offered any discount). I think next time, we'd want something more comfortable (the bed was pretty hard to sleep on) especially for 3 nights. It was our first time renting a camper so we learned a lot about what we'd want next time. I would try Outdoorsy/Oregon Road Trip again - the checkin/out process was super easy.

Great experience. Van was easy to drive and had more getup than expected over the pass. Definitely recommend the mattress pad they lend. Perfect for a no frills trip.
