The RV when I picked it up looked good with some initial minor problems. I got the RV home to pack and tested all the lights - the passenger side brake light and reverse light didn't work and Ethan came over and replaced them. The RV had a slight shake to it while driving but not being familiar with this vehicle I thought maybe it was usual. Ethan had said that he had the shocks replaced prior to the trip and had replaced the back tires as well. As the trip was going to Alaska with a lot of miles put on it , I told them that when I got to Alaska I would have the oil changed and serviced. They said that would be ok and that they would reimburse me when I got back. The shaking increased the further we got into the trip and I pulled into a TA service center to have it looked at- THE FRONT SIDE DRIVERS TIRE WAS BAD - THE BELT ON THE TIRE WAS SHOWING AND THERE WAS CUPPING ALL ALONG THE INSIDE OF THE TIRE. We had been sent on this trip with a defective tire that could have blown on one of the many passes we went OVER, COSTING US OUR LIVES. I believe that the preparations made before the trip by the host were due to the shaking. During the trip I had to constantly retighten loose screws in the drawers and around the inside of the RV. When we got to Fairbanks we noticed also that the Air Condition in the Cab wasn't working right. It was highly unfortunate that I didn't get some pictures of the tire before turning the RV back in. The unfortunate accident in Minnesota with the mirror and my sister driving only added to the atmosphere. The reporting police officer and I looked over both the mirror and passenger side mirror and he only commented on the replacement of the mirror. I also cleaned the cab mirrors and windshield inside and out and didn't notice any chips on that window. I would like to know what the 768.90$ Vehicle Protection Package covers. Once we did get to open the slide out we noticed that there was cigarette butts and broken plate glass underneath.

Ethan and Sara are wonderful to rent with, me and my Fiancé were new to outdoorsy and they were very patient with us and helped us along our way. They have a wonderful family and we would love to rent from them again!

I appreciated the pickup and drop off procedures with Rolling Adventures. Our hosts were very accommodating! It pulled very well and was easy to set up. The camper was in fantastic shape and my family enjoyed our stay in this camper. We will definitely rent from Rolling Adventures again.

The hosts were super nice people, however the camper had issues that made our experience uncomfortable.
1. The lights in the cabin flickered constantly, like a strobe light.
2. There was no front window cover for privacy.
3. The utensils were dirty
4. The microwave would just cut off in the middle of cooking, the cooking time was not over-it would just cut off in the middle of cooking
5. No real cutting knife - only butter knives
6. Only given 2 wash cloths for bathing and 1 hand towel for drying our hands in the bathroom and 1 for the kitchen. We had the unit for 8 days and that just isn't enough to be comfortable.
7. The can opener was so nasty that it was disgusting.
8. The front tires were nearly flat, I had to stop at the first gas station and pay for air to put in them.
9. They also charged us for picking us up in Flint and that is inaccurate. We took an Uber to their location. On the return, we were having trouble getting an Uber and they told us to drive the unit back to our hotel and that they would pick it up. We did not ask for that, they just offered it to us. The address they have doesn't register with maps and Uber.
When you travel like we do, fly in, pick up camper, everything should be there, ready and in working order.
Like I said, the hosts were super nice but the unit had its issues that took away from our vacation experience. Requesting a partial refund for all the inconveniences.

We are a little shocked at this review. The conversation that you had with my husband at pick up from your hotel, only a couple of these were brought to attention. The microwave and then the flickering lights which no other renter has mentioned to us before. We have fixed the lights and the microwave has worked just fine for us. We had texted with you about the covering and came up with a solution while you were on the road, you said after I apologized, "That's ok, thank you". Our listing is very detailed on what's included in our rentals. Reviews are taken very seriously and impact our very small business greatly. We appreciate your feedback but from our perspective we have no chance to correct any issues that are out of our control, like your Uber issues. We personally are fans of honest reviews and are continually receiving feedback to improve our customer experience. We have already offered a 20% discount on future reservations for the inconveniences mentioned at pick up.

We had a great trip with Sara & Ethan’s Grand Design. It was really comfortable for our family and had all the knives, silverware & amenities that you would need. They made our trip easy to hook on and go!

Great communication and easy to work with. Plenty of space to store everything we needed without cramming everything into the interior. The garage storage was a life saver! Would definitely rent this vehicle again!
