We took a 2000 mile road trip from the East Bay to Olympic National Park, all the way to the top edge of Washington State. We were able to explore the Oregon coast as we went. Such a beautiful fun trip! From the time we asked to book, until the very end with our deposit being returned, James was very quick to respond and answer questions and solve concerns. For the pick-up, James really helped us learn about the Minnie Winnie, walking us through a thorough explanation of her functions.He took the time to have us actually touch and learn her functions, to help us with the muscle memory of taking care of the RV’s needs. This was super helpful as she was our first trip ever! The return went just as smoothly, with Clayton checking us in and signing of on the paperwork. All interactions were smooth, professional, friendly and very positive. We would happily rent from RV Prime again. Packing our bagged snacks, ziplocks, dog food, DVD’s, headlamps etc. boxes for the over-the-table cabinets was extra helpful as well. Being height challenged, reaching into the back of these spaces would have been nearly impossible.The only negative is the height issue. For me, I needed a step stool to climb into bed at night. I even used it in the passenger seat, so my feet wouldn’t dangle. That was the one drawback of driving so many miles. You really felt the comfort or uncomfortable levels of the driving aspect of the Winnie. Her center console is HUGE, Greta for holding all manner of items: 4 drinks, 2 Hydro Flasks, sanitizer, masks, gum, jerky, doggy bags etc. But it also pushed into the legroom area, especially on the passenger side. It also got really hot, on those 4+hour legs of the trip. Fine in the cold and rainy Pacific North West, but something to be mindful of in hot weather. We probably won’t ever travel so far in so few days (10 days gone), so that would be solved. Just an FYI.For the length of our trip, we really lived in the Winnie. She was home 100%. We stayed in a camp area only 3 nights total. The rest of the time we Boondocked. She’s just the right size for that. We were able to find wide spots in the road, turn outs on side roads, quiet spots in the forest to park for the night. This was exactly what we hoped for, and the only way we would have completed our round trip. Her tank storage was also really good. We brought drinking water, so the water tank was used for the sinks and flushing (we didn’t try the shower in the RV). We dumped the black and grey twice, but probably didn’t need to even once. We used less than 3hours of the generator: just to recharge the interior coach battery and use the microwave. Everything lasted really well, we likely could have gone another 5 days without needing refills or dumping. Important to know if you plan to Boondock.

We had a great experience with our rental-our first time in an RV. The RV was clean and easy to drive/use. Fridge, water heater, stove, etc all worked great. The owners were easy to deal with and responsive to our questions before and during the rental. Highly recommended!

James was such an amazing person to work with! He explained everything in detail and was very patient with my questions. The RV/camper van was also in terrific condition; I've been daydreaming about having one of my own ever since I rented from James. The interior is smaller than your standard RV but there is actually plenty of storage and the amenities worked well. I also liked that dumping the gray water didn't require going to an RV station (you can dump in a toilet, and it's actually not as gross as I thought it would be).

- exceptionally clean and well maintained vehicle. you can clearly tell the owner took great care of the vehicle. It feels even significantly better maintained than some of the professional RV rental companies.
- extremely well equipped vehicle. has pretty much everything I needed for 3-day trip from cooking/sleeping to entertainment.
- lots of storage spaces.
- very thorough walkthrough from the owner James.
- very friendly owner. promptly answers our questions every time throughout our trip.

I went from San Francisco to Joshua Tree Park for a week (and had a fabulous time).James was conscientious and helpful from start to finish. He answered all my questions quickly and clearly, and when there was a minor issue with the electrical system (a circuit breaker just needed to be flipped), he was immediately available. When renting an inherently complex "house on wheels," it's vital to have a reliable person to trouble shoot any issues that might come up, and James is fantastic.
