Had a great time taking the van to LIB festival. Although the portable ac couldn’t take the Bakersfield heat it was still significantly better then tent camping. The van was easy to drive. Hosts communicated effectively and were accommodating with change in our plans. Protip: don’t use the shower if you don’t have a way to get more water in the van cause one short session and we ran out of water.

I did a long trip, and while I ultimately made it back, the van had some mechanical issues both on the way out and back that required stopping at mechanics to get it patched back up. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating, but being stuck on the side of the highway in the middle of the desert, making unplanned stops at auto shops, and worrying that your van could break down at any minutes is not an ideal vacation experience. The hosts mentioned it had some engine trouble in the past, and the mechanic suggested it may in the future.

We took Braxton for a 3 week vacation around the National Parks and it was just amazing. We were really sad to say goodbye to Braxton in the end.
With this van you get an authentic road trip experience where you can enjoy every mile you drive. It might take one day to get used to the size of the van (not longer than a pickup though) and then it’s just pure joy.
The van is comfortable to sleep in and spacious (even though there was less storage space than expected). Braxton is not a youngster anymore and has surely seen a lot of road already, but he proved to be reliable and never let us down (never mind a little quirk here and there,e.g. the tire pressure light refusing to turn off even after checking the tire pressure). The check engine light turned on just before our trip ended, but I’m sure Ben will get it checked out in no time.
The communication with Ben was smooth and pleasant - he answered all of our questions and even got a replacement camping table sent to a very remote campsite for us. Thanks!! ✨

Ben was an excellent host, providing as much transparency, communication, and assistance as you could ask for. The pickup was fast & easy, as well as the drop off. Braxton ran just fine throughout the entire trip from California around various states. Will be sure to book again for any future road-trips.

Ben was very responsive and accommodating, and Braxton was a joy to drive. The layout of the storage and all the included camping gear made setting up camp extremely easy. We were especially fond of the bed/bench design, which created a very cozy living room area.

My husband and I had the trip of a lifetime with Braxton (and Ben at Vamanos Vans’ assistance). We were on the road for 12 nights, traveling as far as the Black Hills of South Dakota. We slept comfortably in Braxton for 7 of those nights but each day, Braxton was an integral part of our trip, comfortably and safely transporting us through several days in Yellowstone and then several more days in South Dakota and then back home to San Diego again. We encountered all kinds of unseasonal weather during our trip, including numerous thunderstorms and a golf ball sized hailstorm heading to Rapid City, South Dakota but we felt confident knowing we were in Braxton. Braxton came equipped with almost everything we needed including bedding, dishes, chairs, a camp stove, cookware,a table, refrigerator and the life changing DIY compostable toilet. Not to mention, whenever we had questions, Ben was quick to respond and so easy to work with. I look forward to renting from Ben and Vamanos Vans for any future road trips.

I drove the van up from San Diego to Pasadena and it handled extremely well, everything in the camper felt bolted down and stayed in place during the whole trip. Very spacious and it's got everything thing you need for a nice little get away. Hoping I can rent it again some time!

We decided to take a spontaneous trip and came across the Jeep with the roof top tent. It was perfect for myself and two little kids. The vehicle is well maintained, clean and ready to go. The tent was super easy to set up and they even included a quick YouTube video to help get it set up.

Our road trip in Blanca couldn’t have been any better. The pickup with Ben went smoothly, he was super flexible, and we didn’t need to connect with him again until on the return trip back. The van had everything we needed and more!
