Responsive, flexible, and helpful

Joel is consistently praised for quick communication, being responsive to questions, accommodating last-minute needs, and being knowledgeable about the area. He also provides necessary camping essentials.

Drives well, great for camping

The F150 truck drives well and is suitable for Alaska's terrain, offering a roomy, comfortable sleeping setup with a mattress in the topper. It includes camping essentials, though one reviewer noted minor topper leaks in heavy rain and some minor fixable issues.

I put well over 1,000 miles on the odometer during my twelve days in Alaska and stayed at dispersed camping sites when I could find them, Savage Creek Campground in Denali NP and coastal campgrounds in Homer and Seward. Joel provided all the camping equipment I needed and sleeping in the back of the truck was warm and comfortable. The truck is easy to drive once you adjust to its size and learn to use the side mirrors instead of the rear view mirror. Joel was an excellent host always quick to respond and very knowledgable about the area. I considered the truck as a hybrid rental car and hotel/motel and was happy to be able to freely travel at a fraction of what renting a car and sleeping in hotels/motels would cost and am very happy I rented the truck; I would absolutely do it again.

He was so great at communicating and accommodated my change in travel plans. I really appreciated how easy he made the trip for us to get/drop off the truck.

I was grateful to find this truck available to rent for part of my trip. It came with most of the essentials I needed to camp. The vehicle drove well. There was a lot of rain for some of my trip, so there was a bit of leaking in the truck topper, but Joel informed me of this and provided a tarp and extra bedding. Joel communicated well and in a timely manner.

This F150 was absolutely perfect for our first ever 2 week trip to Alaska! Joel was great answering any questions we had before and during our trip. We opted to sleep in the back of the truck while touring all over the Kenai Peninsula and going up over the Denali Highway. My fiancé is 6’5” and we had more than enough room sleeping in the back. The bed was comfy! We did bring sleeping bags and bought extra pillows when we got to Anchorage. Other than that the truck had everything we needed. Would definitely rent again!

Joel made this experience so easy, he was super flexible and the truck worked out perfect for our needs. My wife kept saying over and over on this trip that we couldn't have picked a better set up. We will be renting from him again.
