Honey is a 2017 RAM Promaster. Before her days as a campervan, she towed around auto gear from dealership to dealership. These days she's recouping from a 3 month cross country road trip - adventurous gal! Ever since we decked her out with a bed, fridge, toilet, and dining room table, she's ready to hit the road for your next camping or road trip adventure.

Our van is reliable, clean, organized and laid out well for a weekend camping in the forest, or a week long road trip that calls for some day-time work hours.

Honey is perfect for your ultimate weekend in the woods. Find her on IG @honeythecampervan

What's included

Your rental includes use of our fridge, toilet, sink, bed, linens, towels, camping chairs, battery powered fan, kettle, plates, and cutlery.

Recommendations

The Blue Ridge Parkway winds right through Asheville, giving visitors gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. You can camp on various campgrounds along the parkway, and stop at overlooks to take in a great view!

Just a few of the campgrounds we'd recommend:
- Davidson River Campground
- Mount Pisgah Campground
- North Mills River Recreation Area

Other things to note

Please read through our listing and then reach out with any questions!

A Note about Pick Up & Drop Off: My husband and I work from home, in addition to running another business, so while that allows us to be flexible with our schedules in coordinating pick up and drop off — it does mean that we require you to “over communicate” your plans. If you’re running late, even just 10 minutes, please let us know. When we offer early pick up and late drop off times (for an additional fee) please be mindful of the fact that we may have only blocked off 30 minutes to do so.

My husband and I built out our van Honey to take on our Honeymoon in the summer of 2021! We enjoy hiking with our dog, paddling down the river and any time we spend in the great outdoors!

The van is aesthetically pretty cute but not always the most practical. If you are taller than 5' 4" the bed isn't super comfortable. The hosts were communicative but threatening at the beginning to cancel the rental for someone else. The design are the drawers were very frustrating and we couldn't open half of them and, the ones that were open wouldn't close properly for driving. Upon starting the car it told us it needed an oil change and tire pressure adjusting which was concerning.
For the price it's pretty good but I wouldn't rent it again.

Brannan’s answer

Unfortunately, Shelby made a last minute booking, which required us to create a virtual hand off process in time for her arrival, as we were planned to be out of town. We accommodated the last minute request, no problem - and created the hand off videos. In our 4 training videos, we did happen to leave out the bit about how to open and close the van drawers. I made myself available via phone and Facetime to Shelby for hours on the day of her pickup, and told her to reach out with any questions. I even sent her a message regarding the drawers in particular. I checked in several times and she insisted there were no questions or issues and everything was self-explanatory. Our van drawers close consistently, and while RV drawers in general are not always the easiest process due to the closing mechanisms needed for driving, none of them were broken upon pick-up. They were however broken upon Shelby's return.

We had a great time in Honey the van! It was such a cozy and convenient home base during our short trip to Asheville and the beautiful mountains. Brannan was accommodating and super communicative when we had questions on the trip about the solar charging system. Would definitely recommend choosing this van if you’re visiting Asheville area!

No, we do not.

It is not. We require guests to request use of the WiFi at least 48 hours prior to picking up the van rental, with a $40 fee.
