• small bladeless heater/fan at the far corner of the bed

• thermostat controls the built-in gas heater. (We leave it set to the lowest setting since it will automatically kick on the gas heater when it gets below that temp.)

Things TO BE Careful OF, please:
# Do not, under any circumstance, turn on the water pump switch on the wall next to the stove unless instructed you can do so. It will burn out the pump since it is only to be used if one is boondocking/wilderness camping and have filled the fresh water tank.
# The kitchen knives are in a slot holder behind the stove and are currently very sharp. Please be cautious when using them, particularly if there are small children or rambunctious doggies around. Please scrub clean the knives right away after each use with the provided dish brush and detergent, towel dry them, and store them back in their slot.# Speaking of knives, please always use one of the thin plastic cutting sheets from on top of the kitchen cabinet before cutting on any surface. Please DO NOT cut directly on the butcher block counter extension or the white plastic board on top of the kitchen sink (which is unfortunately made of plastic cutting board material). Basically, before cutting anywhere, Please use the cutting sheets/boards.# You're going to want to wash dishes if you cook at all. Unfortunately, the "gray water" tank can fill up quickly if you use a lot of water for washing, in the bathroom, Especially if you use the shower as well! We recommend you consider washing dishes in the collapsible red silicon bucket under the fridge, then rinsing them in another container or the sink before setting them to dry using the drying mat on the dining table. You can keep an eye on the gray and black water tanks by pressing the buttons on the console left of the stove.# On the other hand, the black water tank may not fill as quickly, particularly if you and your family are able to use the facilities at a campground where you're staying. If that's the case, you don't need to worry about being stingy with the water when you flush. If you do have to poo, after you've flushed, please add a scoop of the Happy Camper powder and flush it with a good amount of water in the toilet bowl. (Step part way to fill the bowl, then all the way to flush it. After, step on it a bit again so there's some water at the bottom of the bowl creating a good seal to keep out odors.)# The refrigerator takes a little while to cool down to an appropriate temperature. We help it along by filling the freezer with frozen ice chest packs. Hence, we provide 2 bags of ice in the ice chest for anything that absolutely must be kept cold before the fridge is at temp. There is a temperature sensor in the fridge with a wireless readout under the microwave. When the temperature gets to the point you need, you should be able to start using the fridge as normal, with the understanding that it's a small fridge so the cold will escape very quickly if it is left open at all. (You'll want to be mindful to close the fridge very well - not slamming but pushing it well closed.)# Don't forget to ventilate, even if it's frigid out, if you plan to cook on the gas stove! That's about it. Meet your host, Lui

Howdy! Luigi & Gabby here. (I'll have to find a recent pic with our pups Lola - 5 & Lulú - 3.)

We love to explore new places, be they eateries nearby or countries far away or anywhere in between. Being adventurous, we purchased our pre-owned 2012 Forest River V-Cross the Vibe (model 6501) trailer near the end of the pandemic and have slowly been fixing and sprucing it up to turn it into our cozy 2nd home on wheels. We've traveled around Arkansas, New Mexico, and Texas and have even gotten to see 2 solar eclipses near Utopia, TX.

We've been blessed to make so many fun memories, and look forward to helping you make fond memories of your own with your family and canine companions. Thank you for taking a look, and hope to host you real soon!

We had a great time in the vibe! It was comfortable and just what our family needed to stay cool in the Texas summer heat. Lui was a great host and was very communicative and generous.

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Totally flexible! I can meet you at the storage where I park our trailer to hitch it to your tow vehicle, or I can deliver it to you within 100 miles. Either way, I'll walk you through every step of how to set up and use our trailer, including the generator, if you've added that on. If you're camping where I deliver it, I can gladly set it all up for you at no charge if you like!
Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
Campgrounds typically offer electrical and water connections that are easy to hook into at each parking spot. (The hard part may be parking if backing in.) We provide everything you need, including a 30-amp surge protector, inline fresh water filter, pressure regulator valve, and fresh water hose (heated one also available if you may be camping where it could freeze). For sewage, campgrounds have a dump station, and we provide what you need to dump both gray and black water tanks.
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Our trailer offers a lot of features jam packed into a small package. You might want to take some care when grabbing something to see how you'll want to put it back when you're done with it, particularly the pots/pans and the kitchen gadgets. We offer WiFi, but if no device is connected to it, it might shut off and need to be restarted. The aluminum stability brace can be a bit tricky if you're not familiar, so I'll show you that. Also, manipulating the dining table to make it a bed.
Q.What's your most recommended add-on?
A.
It really depends on what you enjoy and if you have specific needs. For instance, I always set up hammocks. Even if I don't use them, seeing them swinging in the breeze is just relaxing. Of course, some add-ons are basically necessary in Texas! If you'll be "boondocking," you'll need the generator and extra propane tank to keep the A/C running all night! And if you're bringing your dogs, the wifi thermometer is a must if you'll be leaving them in the trailer while there's internet service.
