RecommendationsPerfect rig for a retro adventure with your friends, kids or family. Relive your childhood or just show your kids how it used to be done. We've worked hard to keep it original and preserve the classic feel of the entire experience. We've toured Vancouver Island, the BC Interior and the Gulf Islands in her and she's a beaut. Other things to noteIt's a vintage van, so be understanding of that. Everything works and she's inspected, fixed and nursed back to amazing shape, but she still drives like an 80s motorhome! Not fast but safe and reliable. No logging roads, no festivals without permission and no overloading of passengers. Thanks for respecting our vintage van!

The communication with Rob was fantastic. He is putting so much love and hard work into "the old lady" and this is what is completing the puzzle. Our trip with VNTSY was amazing. Everyone was looking at us and asking about the experience, and the answer was always the same...A DREAM COMING TRUE. Thank you for everything Rob and OLD LADY, this roadtrip was more than we ever expected. Thank you Rob, old lady and wonderful BC and Alberta.
Rob’s answer
Thanks so much Nondas! I'm glad you finally got to have your adventure in Canada! (And thanks for the great stickers on the back!)

The van was perfect! We had everything we needed, super clean, good mechanical condition. We were 3 adults, it was just enough space to be confortable for sleeping. The Vantasy was the best vintage trip we had, with the ambiance light and the music. Thank you!

We had an amazing trip with the Vantasy! We were four girls and travelled for a month and everything worked properly. The van is vintage and beautiful but also has everything you need to hit the road. It is fully equipped and has a toilet, a shower and an oven!!
Also, Rob was super nice, it was very easy to communicate with him.
I would recommend it to anyone :)

The Vantasy is actually a dream come true (and it's a dream you didn't know you had). Rob is an amazing host and he takes great care of his vehicle and did a proper walk-through with us. We had the Vantasy for a 6 day Vancouver Island trip and she ran beautifully. We had no major issues during our travels and the one problem we thought we had was really just user error, which Rob happily helped us solve. I'd happily (and likely will) go on another trip in the Vantasy. If you want a reliable vehicle and a reliable host, Rob and the Vantasy is the way to go.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
I'm self employed and quite flexible. Earlier in the day or later in the evening preferred. Just fire a message and we'll work something out.
Q.Can we camp off-grid in the van?
A.
You betcha! She's a self-contained world, with solar, onboard water and waste tanks etc. Dreary weather might require some running of the engine but when she's sunny you're set. Most systems run on propane and you've got a large tank of that underneath. If you're a light water user you could last a week without returning to civilization!
Q.Does the van have AC?
A.
The van cab has AC when the engine is running but there is not another AC unit on the roof for the living space. There's a powered roof vent fan, curtains and reflective window inserts for keeping her cool in sunny weather, which as always been enough for us.
Q.Can I bring my pets with me?
A.
Unfortunately, due to problems in the past, pets are not permitted in the van. I understand that your pet may be better behaved than most but we can't do our homework for every rental and pets that seemed great in the past have turned out to be an issue.
