1996 Okanagan Adventure Series
I've set out to make this rental experience as thoughtful and convenient as possible, so that someone can hop off a plane at Calgary International Airport with socks and underwear in their carry-on bag, and after one grocery stop on the way out of town, can visit our world class National Parks like Banff and Jasper or go off-grid camping in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. This van seats 4 people with seat belts including one "universal anchorage system" (UAS) lower anchor set to install a car-seat. You can sleep up to 4 people with one queen size bed and one full size bed. The ceiling is 6'3 so you don't have to duck your head when inside. There is lots of storage in the van - under bench seats, a closet beside toilet which comes with plastic storage totes, and a floor to ceiling storage area on the other side of toilet. The aluminum 'trunk' with bike rack outside at the back of the camper also always included but can be easily removed.Other safety considerations addressed include a back-up camera with 10" display screen. The van also has a Carbon Monoxide detector and LPG (propane) detector to ensure the safety of all occupants. The van is set up to be self sufficient for days at a time off-grid, complete with a 220 amp-hour battery set up with "% remaining" monitoring, 75L on-board fresh water tank, sink, toilet and proper septic tank under the van. A 30 lb onboard propane tank supplies a heater, refrigerator, 4-burner stove, oven and an outdoor cook-top for when the weather is nice. There is a 300 watt power inverter capable of powering laptops, charging cameras & phones or other low to medium power demand devices while off-grid. The inverter does not have enough capacity to run high power demand devices like toaster or hair dryer, however, at campsites with power connected, the outlets work just like at home - 15 amp circuits. An outdoor shower can be set up at the back of the van in about 2 min, complete with a shower curtain & rod mounted on the van, a magnetic shower head mount, and a quick connect hose on the outside of the camper. There's even a built-in clothes line to stretch out to a nearby tree for drying your towels and beach wear. From the drivers' seat, you have all the normal gauges and controls plus a trip computer to show you information like fuel mileage, transmission temperature, and to check on any engine trouble codes without needing to go find a mechanic. You can pair your phone to the multimedia center with a 10" touch screen that serves as the backup camera, and you can connect with wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto - especially nice for hands-free phone calls, listening to your own music or podcasts and when you are navigating somewhere new using Google Maps directions! The Ford E-250 chassis is heavy duty and this van also has upgraded suspension to ride even better than it came from the factory - very stable and nice to drive. The 5.8L gasoline V8 pulls nice and strong for travelling in the mountains. And I only run quality, tuff and trusted 10-ply tires, never more than 6 yrs old. What's included•Pots & pans, utensils, baking sheet, coffee maker

My name is David and my world revolves around my lovely wife Perry, our daughter Henley, and our little dog Nova. We love to travel near and far! We work hard and we play harder. We have an undying love for the mountains, meanwhile we are often challenged to determine if we love the ocean more! We may never know for sure... We like to hike and camp. We love food, beautiful views and NEW views. The van allows us to see more, stay for longer and be more comfortable in whatever we do. I love to share my adventures with others. I hope we can work together on planning your dream trip through the Canadian Rockies.

Our host (David) was amazing, from meeting us at the airport to running us through the overview of the vehicle to being available for any questions could not have asked for better support throughout, the vehicle was perfect for our vacation taking us through all our planned routes through the Rockies and to our eventual destination in Tofino… cannot recommend this host and the vehicle enough… we are so grateful for our time and memories overall experience, price support and vehicle exceeded my expectations…

We had a great time with David's van. It's a bit older but in good shape and well-equipped.

David is an excellent host, from pickup to hand over, offering tips and advice. The van performed without a problem and has everything required for the longest trip, including firewood! I can highly recommend David and would hire again.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
I try to accommodate all my guests as best as possible. You can pick the camper up at my house, or for a fee, I can do airport pick-ups and drop-offs, or I can deliver the van to your location. I work full time and have a family who I like to travel with. As long as we plan ahead, I love making time to greet and get to know my guests, to show them around the camper and to get them on their way to adventuring as quickly and efficiently as they want.
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
My family and I chose this van because of its small size. It is not much bigger than a standard pickup truck, making it easy to maneuver in crowded parking lots or camp sites. It is comfortable and easy to drive down the highway for hours. There is also a back-up camera to help back up safely. Even so, I do recommend having your passenger jump out and be a second set of eyes to help guide you in tight areas, especially when reversing, just to be double sure you don't have any incidents.
