About this RV

Just imagine. After a long day hiking in the mountains and around turquoise glacier lakes, you get back to Snowflake, turn on an essential oil lamp, pour yourself a glass of wine, and relax in the ambient light of the Himalayan salt lamp.

Snowflake really was designed for relaxing trips to the mountains, lakes, and forests.

So you care about sustainability and healthy living? We do too. That's why we used as many eco and sustainable materials while building her. So solar power, sheep wool insulation, and nontoxic paints and stains were a no-brainer.

SNOWFLAKE is our second van listed on Outdoorsy - you can see our 5* reviews for the JUNIPER one at https://www.outdoorsy.com/rv-rental/calgary_ab_ca/2006_dodge_sprinter-3500_125117-listing

Your photos will be beautiful, as this van includes so many aesthetic, one-of-a-kind details from the handmade wooden countertop with a copper sink, salt lamp, copper details to the whitewash wooden ceiling, just to name a few. When designing Snowflake, we were inspired by a timeless modern farmhouse boho style which will make you want to live in the van forever.

The bed is fixed, so you don't have to bother converting it into the couch each and every morning. Stopping anywhere on the road and jumping into a large bed to have a nap couldn't get any easier.

There's plenty of space to hang out and socialize as the couch by the big window has two seat extensions, so you can play board games with your campground neighbors on rainy days.

The large refrigerator and freezer hold plenty of food and drinks without the need for ice.

The van gets great fuel mileage compared to other vans and RVs. We average about 22 mpg (about 11L/100km) when traveling in the mountains.

The factory dash air conditioning work great while driving on warm summer days. While the fan keeps it comfortable inside when camping. A diesel air heater keeps the interior nice and cozy even on freezing -40C Canadian winter nights.

Things to do nearby

If you're into natural cosmetics, please visit this place that smells heavenly. Most of my creams, shampoos, deodorants, ... come from this shop with the factory based in Canmore.

No words needed for this lake. Come before 4.30-5.30 am to claim the parking spot and have a nap/breakfast before seeing the lake. This way you won't need to pay for the shuttle bus.

Very reasonably priced food and drinks. Always quite easy to grab a table.

Easy walk along the canyon in wildfire forest. Very unique landscape and not too many people if you avoid rush hour.

Get the gondola to amazing alpine meadows with crystal clear lakes and hike easy trails with endless mountain views.

Hard to beat the views you'll get from the ridge. Grizzly bears are frequent, so always carry a bear spray.

One of my favourite hikes in the Canadian Rockies. Especially in larch season end of September

Great choice of tasty vegan/vegetarian food. I would recommend calling for the reservation.

Quite a fascinating historical place where I always take my friends - it's where the first Canadian national park was born.

Relatively unknown trail, great in late September when the larch trees are turning golden. Start early to avoid crowds.

Lovely easy hike to gorgeous little lakes. Start early to avoid crowds.

Chilled bistro with amazing views. A locals secret, great to spend a couple of hours working on the internet or playing board games while sipping hot apple cider.

Lovely tea and coffee. Healthy breakfast and smoothie bowls. Bright and cozy interior.
