Get away in your RV rental to a close by state beach over in Half Moon Bay. Incredible sunsets and easy access make this a great spot to take the RV rental. Lock in your advance reservations early as this park fills up fast. A friendly tip to save some cash is to reserve the interior sites versus the more expensive beach front sites. Same access and views at 2/3 the price. Bring the board for surfing and fun on the sand!
TrainTown offers a quarter scale railroad on 4 miles of track. Each train trip lasts 20-minutes and takes you through tunnels, over bridges and makes a stop in Lakeview a miniature town and petting zoo. Visitors can also have fun at the six amusement rides.

University of California voted as one of the best public universities in the world, is a landmark of Berkeley and it has a classical architectural feel. There is an amazing tower located at the top of the hill, which offers spectacular views of the city. The library is a majestic building and there is a Greek amphitheater, where amazing performances are shown. UC Berkeley also has a dinosaur exhibition with some interesting replicas of tyrrannosarus rex and a teradactyl.

The park has a community feeling which will make you feel at home. Marin Park is the closest recreational vehicle park to San Francisco--just 10 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge, and only 14 miles from Berkeley. If you need a break from driving you can take a ferry or bus into San Francisco. The Muir Woods, Napa and Sonoma Valley, and Pt. Reyes and many other California attractions are within reach. This park has been busy so may not be available for your RV rental trip but may be an option for the shake-down night out.
