The Great Outdoors

If you're craving some fresh air, make Goose Spit Park the first stop in your camper rental from Comox. Located just a couple of miles from the town center, this long sand spit offers some spectacular water views. The park covers 52 acres in total and a great spot for wildlife watching, with otters, deer, eagles, sea lions, and many other creatures calling the area home. And if you're traveling with your dog, you'll be pleased to know that off-leash pets are welcome here for much of the year. If you'd like to head a little further afield, Kin Beach Provincial Park is less than 15 minutes out of town. Encompassing 22 acres, this small but pretty park overlooks the Strait of Georgia. Beachcombers will love wandering along the rocky beach here, while it's also a great spot to enjoy a picnic while taking in views of the mainland. And if you're bringing a canoe or kayak, you can launch it straight from the beach. Another wonderful outdoor attraction well worth exploring in the area is Nymph Falls Nature Park. Located to the west of Comox, this 151-acre park is the site of a spectacular waterfall that's perfect for a selfie or two. Whitewater rafting is also popular in the area, while the park attracts plenty of swimmers keen to cool off on a hot summer's day. And if you visit during October or November, you might even be lucky enough to see the unique sight of returning fish leaping up the falls.

Our family of four rented Irene's trailer for a 7-day trip to Tofino in late August, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. Irene was amazing to deal with. Her communication was excellent, and her willingness to accommodate an early pickup and late return was greatly appreciated. The trailer was in fantastic condition, and we were especially impressed by the quality of the bedding and the thoughtful selection of stocked items that ensured we had everything we needed throughout our trip. We would highly recommend renting from Irene and look forward to booking with her again for our 2027 Tofino adventure. Thanks, Irene!
