Driving Floyd on reasonably appropriate dirt, gravel, and other back roads is allowed provided it is not private property and there are no prohibitive access notices including, but not limited to, No Trespassing signs.The vehicle is not intended to be used for "rock-crawling" or in designated or undesignated off-road areas (such as SVRAs) and on closed roads (excluding country and state maintained roads), as such the use of our vehicles in these applications and settings is strictly off limits. Floyd is explicitly prohibited from being used for any technical, high speed or rough terrain applications. Any renter found to be using the vehicles for the above listed use cases will automatically lose their deposit to compensate for excess vehicle wear and tear.The vehicle is prohibited from being used for any rescue situations, towing of other vehicles or use in any way other than basic driving on easily passable dirt trails or public highways. If there is an accident or breakdown on the back roads, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to deem whether the roads were reasonably appropriate or not. If we deems the roads not reasonably appropriate then the insurance is void. Towing charges and any additional expenses resulting from breakdown or accident will be be the Driver’s responsibility. When Drivers are assessing roads they should remember that vehicle damage can occur from branches, logs and other protrusions into the roadway and all repair costs are the burden of the Driver. The consumption of alcohol or intoxicants while operating any vehicle is prohibited. As is climbing on the roof or hood of the vehicles. Taking the Vehicles to music festivals is prohibited.No vaping or smoking in the vehiclePlease return the van with a full tank of regular gas, if not, renter will be deducted $150 from the security deposit.Renter is responsible for any damaged or lost equipment.

5.0Larry and the van were great! Larry was super communicative and flexible and the van was in great shape and had plenty of room for our family of four (including 8 & 13 year old boys). Having a solar powered exhaust fan, refrigerator, lights, and charging ports was huge as we stayed at primitive campsites for over a week and never ran out of power (even when parked at a full shade site for multiple days). The beds were large and comfortable and the van was well designed and easy to drive. We met up with multiple friends who had Sprinter vans on our trip and they all said they wished they opted for the window flares that we had when they built their vans out (they make it easy for people who are over 6 feet tall to sleep sideways in the van, freeing up a lot of space). Definitely reach out to Larry if you are interested in a camper van trip in Southern California - I'd recommend him and his van to anyone!

5.0Larry Cambra is the perfect Outdoorsy host: Friendly, Punctual, Professional, and Helpful. This host was easy to communicate with and responsive, which was required due to the first Outdoorsy host botching the pickup and costing us a day of our camping adventure. Larry's beautifully customize Ford Transit, aka "FLOYD" saved our 5-day camping vacation in Joshua Tree. Easy to drive and park - this was our home base as we explored the Desert and the National Park. It got a lot of looky-loos everytime we pulled in where other people were - I couldn't answer any technical questions about the solar panels expertly installed on the roof or the kind of bike rack/gate on the back door or the birch flooring and upper bedding buildouts - but other van people definitely snuck peeks every time we parked. Hubby and I are normal size adults and we appreciated the comfort and quietness of the sleeping area. Well thought out and executed storage bins kept our first car camping adventure organized. The cooler was also a lifesaver because grocery stores were hard to find where we went. Lastly, thanks to the air ventilation system in the rooftop, the van was never stuffy and it was easy to regulate temperature/air quality. Larry is a SUPERB Outdoorsy host - if I could give him an extra star for helping us salvage our vacation, I would.
