2011 R-Pod R-Pod Trailer
My little alpine climbing base camp and mobile writing retreat is also a great mini-getaway for a couple or small family. Snug, warm, easy to tow. What's includedFresh linens for one bed only. (2nd bed bring your own.)Kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, a French press for coffee, plates, bowls, cups, silverware, bowls, coffee cups. There is a small cutting board & a couple sharp knives too.I've got 2 comfortable foldable chairs under one of the benches, which you're totally welcome to use.RecommendationsIt's a great little camper for established campgrounds. As it doesn't come with a generator, using it "off grid" is a little more complicated. It gets pretty hot inside in the summer, so you'll want to have full "shore power" (plug into the campground) to use the AC, which works very well.I've taken it to Smith Rock, Yosemite (many times), all over the Eastern Sierra, Mammoth, and Joshua Tree. It's had some adventures.Other things to noteThis is my climbing / mountaineering base camp and my mobile writing office (I'm a novelist by trade) so please treat it kindly. If you want to take it to a music festival, Burning Man, or whatever: Let's talk about it first, please.

Christian is an absolute gem of a host. As usual, super communicative and extremely understanding (we had a delayed pickup and dropoff). Cant wait to rent from him again. The trailer speaks for itself..compact yet has everything you need. If I could buy it from him, I would! :)

Easy pickup and drop off. Camper was perfect for my off-grid weekend up in Truckee

This sweet trailer did not disappoint! The owner, Christian, was a great communicator who delivered and set up the trailer for me. Perfect for one person and could easily accommodate two to three people. I had a most excellent experience!
Thank you, Christian!

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host
Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
I've got an instruction manual to help you with all this.
Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
I generally do drop-offs and pick-ups in the parking lot of Colfax High School, as it's easier to find than my house. As for flexibility, I'll try to accomodate your needs. Let me know and we'll work something out!
Q.How high does the ball hitch need to be to tow the R-Pod?
A.
You'll need the ball hitch to be 17"-19", as measured from the ground to the center of the ball. This way the tongue jack wheel can be easily removed and there's clearance for the bottom of that jack so it doesn't scrape.
