Cozy 13' Scamp Trailer, perfect for 2 to get away. Weighs less than 1,300 pounds. Wired for 7 or 4 pin connection. Autowbrake electronic brake system means no need for brake controller in tow vehicle. Also includes a break-away auto brake system. This is a great camper to get into smaller campgrounds or boondock in the national forests and BLM lands that are in Colorado. If you have never towed a camper before this is a great camper to start with. Delivery is available so please ask. Minimum rental period for Dropoff/Pickup is 4 days for any rental over 40 miles from my home. This is only if you are not picking up the camper. Please review the FAQ page for more info.Note for rentals that are for mid Sept and into the fall. We will check the forecast for your intended campsite to ensure the temps will stay above freezing. If the forecast calls for freezing temps, the freshwater tank will not be available as the camper plumbing cannot withstand a freeze. Once the overnight temps begin to stay below freezing at my home, the camper is winterized, so no running water until spring.I do inspect and test the camper prior to each rental to make sure everything is working properly. However, based on years of personal camping experience, things can and do not work as you want all the time. If you experience an issue, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can try and make it right. I wish I could guarantee perfect operation of all pieces of equipment all the time, but that is just not the nature of a camper that rolls along the highway and is subject to the bumps and dips of the road. A part of the camping experience is dealing with the unexpected and making the most of the time we have. What's includedKitchen supplies, sleeping bags and pillows for bedding. I can supply a small outdoor table and camp chairs if needed. RecommendationsEnjoy the many state and national parks in Colorado. Other things to noteThere are two Campgrounds with a place to dump the tanks within 6 miles of our location. Falcon Meadows campground and Holiday KOA on Judge Orr Road.

Love to take our Sheepadoodle Hawkeye on our camping trips. We are trying to hit as many National Parks as we can while still enjoying the many state parks and National Forests in Colorado that we are blessed to live near.

Allen was very kind, responsive and helpful. The camper was perfect for two people and two dogs. It was clean, worked great, and had all the supplies we needed in it. It was also easy to tow. I would highly recommend renting from Allen.

We felt lucky to rent from Allen for our first trip with Outdoorsy. He and the camper were ready and waiting when we arrived. He gave us a very thorough introduction to the Scamp, answered all our questions, and gave us a helpful checklist for first-night setup and last-day hookup . The Scamp was in great shape, clean, well provisioned, trailed easily, and served us well for our four-night trip.

We loved Allen’s scamp! It was clean and he gave detailed instruction on operation and setup/teardown. We hadn’t towed a trailer before, but the scamp was great for the 3 of us. Would recommend!

My wife and I rented a Scamp 13 ft. trailer from Allen. We have no experience with trailer hauling or use. Allen was wonderful from communication before our trip to pick up and he even responded quickly to small questions while we are at our camp site. The Scamp trailer was the perfect size for my wife and I (and our dog Pumpkin). The drop off was just as simple as the pickup. I would highly recommend renting this scamp trailer from Allen Thomas. It was an outstanding experience. We will do it again.

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host

Q.What info will help with my reservation
A.
Will you be connecting to shore power - household/30 amp/50 amp Do you need bedding or providing your own Do you need camp chairs Do you need the water tank full upon arrival Will you be using the black tank Do you need small outdoor table Do you need the fridge cold on arrival Do you have 4 pin or 7 pin trailer connector on the tow vehicle Do you need 2" ball hitch
Q.Do I have to refill the propane tank
A.
You do not have to refill the propane tank upon return. If you run out of propane during your trip, you are responsible to refill it for your needs. You can use any RV site that sells propane and refill the tank on the camper or you can use an exchange service ( for example Blue Rhino) that you see at local retailers. You are not allowed to substitute a tank from another source.
Q.Will you do unattended Dropoff or Pickup
A.
I will not be able to drop the trailer off or pick up without the individual listed on the rental present. This is to protect both of us. If damage were to occur without either of us present, we have no way of documenting how it occurred and who is responsible. There is a walkthrough for DO/PU and papers we must sign according to Outdoorsy policy.
Q.Will a 4 pin connection work
A.
A 4 pin connection will work. The autowbrake system is powered by turning on the driving lights of the tow vehicle. However a 4 pin will not charge the camper battery while driving. The battery will be fully charged prior to pickup, but you would be responsible to recharge during your stay if you need internal lights, or heater. A 200 watt solar panel is available as an add on to recharge the battery for extended stays.
