Responsive, helpful, and guides users

Abigail is responsive and helpful, guiding first-time RVers and assisting with BART logistics. She provides helpful videos, though sometimes late, and has minor oversights like missing pillows.

Handles well, comfortable to drive

The van handles well and runs comfortably. It includes a stove and fridge, with easy tank dumping. Some mechanical issues exist (water hookup, faulty gauges, window) and basic supplies may be missing.

Guests love it for first-timers

We spent 4 nights north of San Francisco in wine country and on the west coast. Harvest Hosts, Badego Bay Marina, and Sausalito City Parking. Van trips are so versatile and easy. Everything you need for comfort and the flexibility to change trip plans at the last minute. Abigail was a great host. She guided us through our first time using BART transportation that is a simple and cost effective way to travel between SFO Airport and Concord where we met Abigail. We will definitely use BART again next time. Everything about our trip using Abigail's van was good.

The RV ran well and was comfortable. There were problems with the water hookup (the hose kept popping out), the gray and black water gauge always read FULL, even after we emptied it. One of the glass windows with a screen wouldn't open inside, so we didn't have cross ventilation at night. They forgot to have pillows in the van. They sent the videos when we were arriving at the site (BART station - we couldn't park at their address). Note: watch the YouTube videos and get acquainted with the vehicle before your trip! Overall the van was not well equipped. No paper towels, no kitchen towels, no chef knife. Everything was the cheapest possible. We were camping at the perfect swimming hole on the south fork of the Yuba River above Nevada City with extended family and friends, which made up for everything!

We had a great time in the RecVan taking it to the coast near Watsonville! Abigail was super responsive and helpful walking us through our first RV experience. Everything in the van worked great - two burner stove was easy to use, was nice having a fridge, and bathroom tank dumping was easier than I expected. Abbie provided videos to help along the way. As newbies it took us some time to figure a few things out and understand the quirks such as doors need to be closed hard and buttons on the control panels need to be pushed fairly hard. We rented this van specifically because of the bed layout for my husband who is 6'4". Although he could not quite stand up straight, he did fit well in the bed. I would do it again!

The van was clean and well-equipped. We had a lovely trip up the California coast to Oregon. The van handled well. It was a very steep learning curve on how to use the electricity, gray/black water, etc. since we'd never rented a van before. We definitely could have used a more thorough orientation to the van. But other than that we had a great time.

Hi! I'm Abbie, a nurse, and my husband, Ernest, is a pharmacist. We're a healthcare family of five who immigrated to the U.S. and love to travel-especially to the beach. Hosting came naturally to us because we enjoy creating warm, welcoming spaces for others. Our Class B RV is designed with families in mind. We hope you feel right at home during your stay!
