Modern 2020 Ford Transit Camper

We discovered Casual Caravans by a blind web search. We called and spoke with Sheldon and explained that we are a couple in our 70’s and were considering a month-long trip to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland but that we were first timers when it came to Van Life. We had many questions, and Sheldon had the answers to all of them and helped us through all the steps. He even had suggestions for travel ideas and destinations, many based on his own travel and life in Eastern Canada. His professionalism coupled with his naturally compassionate nature encouraged us to sign up with Casual Caravans immediately. Our trip was remarkable. The van was comfortable, reliable and perfect for two older folks who were looking for an alternative to tent-camping (which we’ve enjoyed for nearly 50 years). When we encountered a minor electrical issue with the van, Sheldon drove the 5-hour roundtrip to meet us and fix the problem personally. The camper made Sommo Festival such an amazing experience. Booking on their website make it so easy and got a promo code. After a full day of music, it was incredible to come back to a real bed and a cozy space instead of a tent. Having a fridge and kitchen setup made meals so much easier. We rented one of the Ford Transits for two weeks to tour and cycle around the Maritimes. The van was great! There was a locking mechanism for our road bikes in the van. It had everything we needed and everything worked perfectly. It had hot water, outdoor shower, heater and more. Sheldon was super responsive and accommodating from booking right through to the end of the trip. We would definitely book through them again and would recommend for anyone wanted to travel with the flexibility of an adventure van!

Casual Caravans gave us an unforgettable adventure in Nova Scotia. We had such a fantastic experience with Casual Caravans! You can tell that Charlie and Sheldon care deeply about what they do. They personally design and build every van in their fleet, and it shows in the craftsmanship. Their approach is thoughtful and smart: they’ve managed to include everything you need while keeping the layout simple, which creates so much more space and efficiency. That balance makes a huge difference when you’re living in a van for days at a time. We took ours all the way around Cape Breton, doing mostly wild camping and boondocking, and it couldn’t have been a better fit. The design gave us freedom and comfort in every stop — three of our four nights we were literally falling asleep to the sound of waves. It felt like having a cozy, efficient little home with us wherever we went. We were so impressed we’re even considering having them build us a custom van of our own. We had a blast camping in the van! Everything was ready to go, all we needed to do was grab some groceries and hit the road. Had a lot of fun driving on the back roads. Sheldon was really flexible with the pick up and drop off

What a wonderful trip we had! We rented the van for three weeks and did Newfoundland and Cap Breton. The van was easy to drive and versatile. The bed very comfortable, even for my husband who has back/sciatic issues. We were able to park for the night in wonderful spots with sea views multiple times! What a sense of liberty! The organization tion in the van is well thought. We used a few card board boxes to add to it. The heating and cooling system worked well. We spoke mainly with Sheldon and the contact was easy and fast. He was very accommodating which contributed to keep the stress low through out the whole experience. Highly recommended!
