5.0Excellent experience all around. Family of four rented vehicle to go camping in Rocky Mountain National Park. While the vehicle can easily be used in a dispersed camping setting, it was also easy to use in a designated campground setting. The vehicle was used as the only means of transport on the trip, so that meant closing up the rig to leave the campground each day to drive thru the Park to trailheads, etc. This was very easy to do. Vehicle was very well equipped, just as advertised, and was truly turn-key. Only needed to load food and baggage into truck. (We did also bring a small cooler and marshmallow sticks.) Host, Brian, gave thorough walk-thru on all items included, and how to operate systems (water, lights, tent, awning, etc.). All electronics (fridge, lights, outlets, etc) worked without any issues. There was no need to do anything with the power during the rental. It was on when picked up vehicle, and stayed on with no issues. Amount of power was never an issue. Battery went as low as 68%, and was recharged to 94% by simply driving for 15-20 minutes, and parking in sun. Fridge stayed at temp for whole trip with no issues. Kitchen was very well equipped as advertised and worked without any issues. Propane was included for stove. Powered water faucet was nice & useful. Good amount of work surface (approx 18" x 48" total). Pots, cooking utensils (including large knives), plates, bowls, cutlery (forks, knives, spoons), cups, coffee mugs, kettle, french press all included and easy to use and clean. Rental came with paper towels & storage bags. Also included were assorted spices and cooking oil. (As mentioned above, as a family of 4, we brought a small cooler to supplement fridge.) Everything we needed in kitchen was provided with rental. 12 gallons of water was provided. (Family of 4 used 11.5 gallons on three-day trip.) Water was used for drinking, cooking, and washing dishes. (No water used for showers - tho there is a privacy tent included that can be used with the water system for a shower. Privacy tent can also be used for toilet, and for changing.) Very useful and comfortable spaces in the truck. Very comfortable queen bed in pop-up. Easy access up to the bed in the pop-up. Also appreciated being able to raise the pop-up bed platform, so that an adult could stand inside of the truck bed. 7 yr old & 11 yr old were able to sit on benches inside truck bed without raising up the pop-up bed. Opening the sides of truck bed added to the comfort of the truck space. Very good list of included accessories with the rental. Bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows) are included. Camp table & 2 chairs are included. First aid kits and camp lighting (electric lantern, flashlights, string lights) are included. Off-road recovery gear is included. We used some bedding, the camp chairs, first aid for a few bumps & scratches, the lantern & flashlights, as well as the included leveling blocks. Good list of optional equipment that can be added to rental. We added the propane campfire, which was allowed to be used even with the campground fire ban. We did not add the camp potty, nor the heater (needed neither). Also did not need to use the airport pickup service, nor the grocery pickup service, but appreciate that those optional services are available. Easy to operate. Truck cab was comfortable, and truck was easy to drive. Good passing power when necessary. No issues going up or down hills. Probably averaged about 17mpg? driving in mountains. Pop-up tent was very easy to open & close, as was the 270-degree awning. Roll-out fridge & roll-out kitchen were easy to access from truck bed, as were the built-in storage compartments. (It is also a pretty good-looking rig.) Host, Brian, is friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful. Enthusiastic advocate for overlanding & camping. Available to contact with questions before and during rental. Well-equipped, turn-key vehicle. Electrical power, kitchen, water, in-truck sleeping & seating spaces, accessories, and vehicle all worked well. Rental met expectations, and in many cases exceeded expectations. Very good host. Again, an excellent experience all around. Will definitely recommend. 5 stars. Thanks, Brian.
