2017 Jayco Jay Flight SLX
This single-axle bunkhouse weighs in at under 3000lbs and can be easily towed cross country by a mid-sized pickup. A crossover SUV can take it to one of our local camping spots, but don't recommend that you take it over vail pass or the continental divide. It has one queen bed and two twin bunks, which kids love. Perfect for a family of 4. The kitchen includes 2 burner stovetop, microwave, and dorm-style refrigerator. Air conditioning and propane heat. AC and microwave require a power source, either shore power or a generator. But the heat, stovetop, and fridge will run off propane. Your vehicle must have a 4000 lb tow rating and 7 pin trailer connector and a 2" receiver. Vehicles with class 1 or 2 receiver (1-1/4") will not work. For longer trips we definitely recommend having brake controller - it is mountainous where we live. Both are available for rent.We will strive for you to have all the things you need to enjoy your trip. If you need something to complete your trip, just ask. We just ask in return that you take care of our family camper. Please return it the same way you found it.Please be conscientious of your pets if you bring them. Please ensure they aren't left alone in the camper, are not allowed on the furniture, are potty trained, and please clean up after them. An extra cleaning fee may be assessed if we have to take the sheets/blankets to be professionally cleaned.
What's includedWhat we provide no charge:
*Bedding for all 3 beds
*Extra blankets
*Basic kitchen supplies - A couple pans, paper plates & bowls, plastic forks, a spatula, large spoon, can opener and wine opener.
*Basic spices - salt, pepper, garlic, oil
*Trash bags
*RV safe toilet paper
*Adjustable height 2 inch ball hitchWhat we can rent for a fee:
3000w Firman inverter-style generator
Battery jump pack (basically an XXL portable power pack for USB and AC/DC powered devices)
Weight distribution hitch
Firewood
RecommendationsProspector Campground, Heaton Bay Campground, Lowry Campground, Windy Point Campground, Peak One Campground, and Pine Cove Campground are all less than 10 minutes from our front door! All are gorgeous and water-adjacent.We also love Pueblo Reservoir, Great Sand Dunes National Park, Cañon City, Turquoise Lake, Salida, and anything in the Steamboat area!60 miles from Denver
32 miles from Vail
130 miles to Aspen
190 miles to Fruita
290 miles to Moab
Other things to noteThis camper is the Baja edition, meaning it has some additional features for living off the grid. High ground clearance, oversized tires, an enclosed underbelly, XL propane tank, dual battery with inverter, and a gas-powered fridge make this camper more capable than average for boondocking. Conversely, certain features of this trailer are only available while connected to shore/generator power, including the microwave and A/C. The heat works off propane but the fan in the furnace requires batteries. It will only last a few nights without being recharged. If you plan on staying off grid, we HIGHLY recommend you bring or rent a generator. You should also let us know your plan so we can tell you if our camper can accommodate your off the grid adventure or if it may fall short of expectations. We'll give it to you straight. We require a brake controller (for safety purposes) for any vehicle with a tow rating below 7500lbs. You may bring your own, but we will require you to rent ours if you don't meet the requirements. We supply the Curt Echo brake controller, which is universal and requires no special wiring. It should fit any vehicle with a factory 7 pin connector. What this camper CANNOT do is offroading. Anything more than a well graded forest service road will destroy a camper. Permanent structural damage. There is a reason that a Black Series camper starts at $75,000 (!!! I know, but google it) and this camper retails for less than a third of that. They're built very differently.

We rented this RV from Dale for use at our wedding at Windy Point Group Campground in Dillon. I had originally planned on picking up the trailer at 2:30, but got stuck on a shut down I-70 which delayed my arrival. Out of the kindness of his heart Dale offered to meet me at the campground and deliver it. I can't overstate how grateful we were for Dale. He delivered the RV, set it up and literally saved the day. The trailer was clean, exactly as described and our dog loved it! We are so thankful for Dale and would recommend anyone thinking about renting an RV to absolutely rent from Dale, you won't be disappointed.

We strive to be as flexible as possible. Some days we have to work around school/work schedules, but we try to communicate right away, early in the booking process.
