Our all time favorite is the municipal camp ground in Grand Marais about 2 hours north of us with amazing views of lake superior, adorable town with World's Best Donuts, and breath-taking hikes! We also love Jay Cooke State Park, only 15 miles from our house.
Other things to noteWe love to keep Franklin in great condition so he can continue being used on a million more adventures, so please no smoking and no pets!

4Overall, the camper worked out pretty well for our trip. The main issue was that the water heater did not work. However, that's what can happen with a camper anytime assuming the water heater wasn't already broken. We would rent this camper again given the owner has fixed the water heater.

5Katie and her husband were fantastic hosts. They were on time for both delivery and pick up of the RV. The RV was clean, had all the amenities we needed, and kept us both dry and cool during a hot/stormy summer week. While it was only my husband and I on this trip, this RV would also be great for a family with small kids. Would highly recommend renting from them (especially if you plan to visit Indian Point Campground in Duluth and can take advantage of their free delivery to your site). The only thing I would recommend is to bring some sort of topper for the main bed. We had a bit of a hard time sleeping because the mattress was pretty thin. If we'd planned ahead and brought a foam topper we had at home it wouldn't have been an issue.

Frequently asked questions
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
As a stay at home parent and work from home partner, we can be extremely flexible with timing to fit your needs for pick up and drop off, or delivery.
Q.
What hitch is needed to pull the camper?
A.
A 2-inch ball.
Q.
What are the electrical hookups?
A.
The camper uses a 30 amp 120-volt 3-prong extension cord (L5-30 to TT-30) to connect to power. We have two adapters that can connect to regular house outlets. However, the camper does require a 30-amp outlet to run all the appliances inside the camper.
