Don't forget to stop to enjoy the Santa Cruz Boardwalk Amusement Park and eat fresh oysters at the Morro Bay Harbor.Go East to South Lake Tahoe for a hike at Horseshoe Falls. Stop at Wright's lake on the way and rent a kayak.Go West to The Square in Sonoma to eat at The Girl and the Fig.Southwest, in Santa Cruz, is our favorite KOA for family camping. This KOA features a playground, jumping pillows, bike rentals, rock climbing and is only 15 minutes from Capitola Beach. On the way there, detour to the Bay Area Discovery Museum at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco (park this rig right next to the water, it's amazing!). You can also park at the Vallejo ferry terminal and take a boat ride under the Golden Gate Bridge to the San Francisco ferry terminal. Grab a cup of Blue Bottle coffee and enjoy it while a bike taxi takes you a half-mile to the Exploratorium. For over-night RV parking, with easy access to the SF Ferry Terminal, Park at the Larkspur RV park, which is only a 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal and has access to a bird-watching nature preserve with trails.Stay at Orangeland near Disneyland and ride their free shuttle to the theme park and other local venues.Other things to note-ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING INSIDE OR NEAR THE ENTRANCE OF THIS VEHICLE.
