2017 T@G XL
Are you a go-anywhere camper? Love the freedom of tenting but just can't be bothered with the set up, tear down, wet bedding and rocky forest floor? This little unit is about to be your best friend!
The Greats:
-Towable by nearly anything with a hitch. SUV, minivan, small truck etc. We haul with our 2012 VW Golf with upgraded rear shocks and a tow package.
-Sleeps 2 adults or 2 adults and a small child easily on the split king bed. There is a door both sides so no crawling over each other
-Go anywhere a car can go. No searching ahead for a gas station with enough room. Traffic is easy peasy!
-Get the good campsites! At just 13' long, you don't have to look for pull through or wide open sites. Many campsites will let you book a tent spot for this little guy if you can live without the hookups.
-Easy to hitch on, back into sites. Even if you're not the most experienced at backing to the hitch or into campsites, the camper is easily wheeled around by hand using the built-on handles.
-The kitchen and sleeping area are well equipped. In the kitchen, you will find a drawer refrigerator, microwave, 2 burner propane stove and sink. In the cabin, you will find Air conditioning and a television with DVD/CD player. Its not fancy, but it will keep the kids entertained on a rainy night! The compromises:
-There are no bathroom or shower facilities on board. You will have to use campsite amenities as far as that is concerned.
-The entire floorplan of the sleeping area is bed. This is great for sleeping space, but there is no floorspace for standing up. Keep this in mind if there are mobility concerns for getting dressed without standing.
-Storage is creative, but minimal. Inside the sleeping area, each side of the mattress lifts up to reveal shallow storage areas. We usually store weather dependent clothing, extra towels etc here. There are two small cupboards on the walls for a small amount of clothing, and small open shelving for small items. If you are going away for more than a weekend, or with bulky gear, you will likely need to store some of your belongings in your car.
