Meet My Vintage Scamp – Cozy, Quirky, and Ready for AdventureThis little fiberglass Scamp is a true classic! Lightweight, easy to tow, and simple to set up, it’s the perfect middle ground between tent camping and a big RV. Scamps are hard to find for rent (lucky you for spotting this listing!), and if you’re looking for something unique, easy to handle, and full of character, this is it.What to Expect
This is a vintage camper, which means it’s full of charm and a few quirks. It’s not perfect—but that’s part of its personality. If you’re after a shiny luxury RV, this isn’t the one. But if you want something cozy, practical, and full of old-school camping spirit, you’ll love it.
Sleeping Arrangements
• Front sofa converts into bunk beds (best for kids or smaller adults).
• Rear dining area transforms into a double bed.
• Comfortably sleeps up to 4 adventurers.
Why You’ll Love It
• Ultra-light fiberglass build—easy to tow with most vehicles.
• Compact size = easy maneuvering and parking.
• Warm, dry, and snug in any Alaska season.
• Comes stocked with the basics to cook a meal: pot, pan, can opener, spoon and spatula. Please provide your own bedding and pillows.
Towing Info
• Hitch: 1 7/8” ball
• Plug: Flat 4-prong (no adapters provided)
• Tongue weight: ~100–120 lbs
• Trailer rides best with hitch height between 13–15” from the ground.
(Don’t worry—I can provide a hitch and drop downs if needed, just message me!)
A Note From Me
My passion is helping travelers experience the beauty of Alaska warmly and comfortably. This Scamp isn’t about luxury—it’s about fun, simplicity, and making memories. If you’re interested, send me a message with your towing experience and a little bit about your trip plans (general location). I’ll happily answer any questions and help you get ready for the road.
Thanks for reading—and happy Scamping! What's includedPot, pan, cutting board, soap, sponge, paper towels and more!RecommendationsDenali National Park, Chena Hot Springs, Valdez, Harding Lake, Olnes PondOther things to noteThe Scamp doesn’t love bumpy dirt roads so sticking mostly to pavement is recommended/required. Please let me know if your trip includes gravel roads and we can chat about it. Gotta take care of my girl!

🌲 Rules of the Road 🌲
• 🚭 No smoking or vaping inside – the Scamp is tiny, and smells love to linger.
• 🐾 Pets by request only – I adore animals, but please ask first to make sure it’s a good fit.
• 🛻 Stick to maintained roads – She’s vintage and likes smoother paths.
• ⏱️ Take it slow – please keep your towing speed under 65 mph. It keeps you, your passengers, and the Scamp safer (and happier).
• ✨ Leave it tidy – wash the dishes, wipe things down, and take out the trash. Think “campsite clean.”
• 🚫 No climbing on the roof – she may be fiberglass, but she’s not a jungle gym.
• 💕 Handle with care – the Scamp is vintage, which means a little quirky. Please go gentle on doors, windows, and latches.
• 🔥 Propane refills – if you use propane, return it with the same amount you started with.
• ⏰ Respect pickup and drop-off times – if you need extra flexibility, just message me and we’ll work it out.

It was great working with Rachel. She was super responsive and flexible. The scamp was just perfect for our needs. We were looking for something we could tow behind our Subaru and the scamp fit the bill!

We were first-time Skampers and will do it again. This little trailer was easy to hook up and hit the road in a jif. Bug-free, rain-free, and with a nice little two burner stove we could have coffee, cocoa, or a meal popped out in short order. The fridge worked great and the bed was just right for two, and we never made it into a table though we could have. The privacy curtains unrolled at night and were rolled up to let in sunlight. The interior, made brighter by the white interior, was appreciated as it was cheery unlike other trailers with dark wood paneling.
