RecommendationsThe van has a few trips, Oregon, Tahoe, So Cal. Utah, Nevada, ID & Montana. But we built the van for road tripping to the National Parks, East Side of the Sierra or up the CA Coast. Its perfect for a weekend trip to Santa Barbara or a week long trip to Moab. The van can travel on the freeway with ease, and on gravel roads, however, the van wasn't built for 4WD off-road.We hate to encourage you to work on your vacation, but if needed, you can remote-work anywhere (with good sky access,) via our StarLink system.Other things to noteDefinitely no smoking in the van. Although it's ok to have a dog, the van won't accommodate anything but a small dog. Sorry, NO BURNING MAN - been there, it just gets too crazy dirty. The water can be filled as requested (short trips don't need 24 g). The fuel is diesel, and this van is efficient compared to gas (20mpg) and there is never a problem fueling. Note: outside CA, diesel can be cheaper than unleaded gas.Return Time is 11am. A later return time can be requested. Unless otherwise noted, a return after 3pm will have a charge of $25/hr. There will be a charge of $100 if the inside toilet is not dumped if used.

Frequently asked questions
Q.
What about bike storage, how does that work?
A.
We designed the van with the needs of cyclists in mind. You can store 2 cycles (road or mountain) INSIDE the van to keep them safe and dry. See the pics. We also have some bike tools and a bike maintenance arm/stand for working on your bike. The bikes are secured by the front fork and the fork holder may need an easy adjustment depending on the size and type of your bike. Please let us know what you have.
Q.
Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
No real special action is required, however, everybody's van operates differently. There is a manual provide. There will also be about a 20 minute van go-over, to make sure you are comfortable operating all of the systems on the van. (electric, hot water, dumping). You'll be a professional in no-time.
Q.
How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
There are no direct water or sewage hookups to the van. There is a 24 g refillable water tank, so filling often isn't necessary. We found that a shower uses < 3 gals and maybe 1 gal/day water use for other needs. There is also a 12 g grey water tank which can be dumped electronically at a dump station. The toilet is a simple camping toilet which is easily dumped at a dump station also. There is a 30A campground plug in which often isn't needed bc of the large battery and solar charging.
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We're flexible. Please inquire with your specific needs.
