The Green Machine is ready to take you on adventures near and far! This 2000 Dodge Ram Van 3500 is thriving in her retirement from the Forest Service and ready to hit the open road. Featuring a custom conversation, she is fully equipped with a full-size bed, sink with electric water pump, solar power, refrigerator, interior lights, outdoor shower, cooking stove, indoor propane heater, and ceiling fan for ventilation and comfort. She has tons of cabinet space and under-bed storage, for all your living and adventure gear!
The Green Machine runs strongly and has the character of a van old enough to drink. Character, defined: the van has a bit of "float" at speeds above 65 mph, the suspension is a little bouncy, the alignment is slightly off, and the sound system favors the driver side. I have had all this cleared with multiple mechanics, they are symptoms of old age and do not adversely affect the performance or safety of the van. The van is a work in progress (as is life), and I wanted to be forthcoming about its quirks! Happy to answer any and all questions!
The Green Machine is perfect for a weekend adventure or the ultimate road trip! She has taken us coast-to-coast and has given us some of our most cherished memories, we are excited to get to share her with you!

Pickup and drop-off within 100mi radius offered upon request for additional cost.
Airport pickup from Regan (DCA), Dulles International (IAD), or Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Airports offered upon request for an additional cost.

DC offers fantastic access to both beautiful city and nature. To the north, explore historic cities, bustling metropolises, rolling hill country and civil war battlefields. To the west, discover the beautiful Appalachian mountains, a paradise for the outdoorsy, with scenic rivers, rushing waterfalls, and some of the prettiest forest anywhere in the states. To the south, explore Shenandoah National Park, drive the epic Skyline Drive over the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I am happy to provide additional trip suggestions both near and far!

The van was awesome to stay in for the weekend while I went to Firefly Music Festival! Zane generously provided many things for us to use while on our trip, including cooking utensils, lights, basic cleaning supplies, and more. Zane was very helpful from before the trip even started up until even after we dropped the van back off. He thoroughly explained everything we needed to know about the van upon our arrival. I was able to keep in contact with him during the whole trip and he gladly helped with any questions or problems I ran into. Zane and the Green Machine made my weekend at the festival absolutely amazing!

We had an awesome road trip through West Virginia in Zane's Green Machine, and the van is now certifiable as toddler-proof! It was great to drive, both on the highway and on the forest roads of WV, and the compact but convenient layout meant that my 13 month-old could romp around whilst also being in arms reach, to keep him out if trouble. We appreciated Zane's flexibility, relaxed approach and excellent communication throughout, and this has been an excellent first experience with Outdoorsy. We hope to be back for another trip in the Green Machine soon - Life is Better in the Mountains!

Zane was fantastic to work with. The Green Machine is just that, Green, and a MACHINE. We took the van all around the Mid-Atlantic, through windy mountain roads and it never missed a beat. Couldn't recommend more highly.
