Thank you for looking at our Home Away from Home as an option to make your life-long memories. If you’re looking for an RV that truly works for families — not just on paper, but in real life — our Georgetown GT5 M 36B is the one that makes traveling together feel easy, comfortable, and fun.We chose this motorhome because of something my youngest daughter said while we were shopping for a new RV. We were debating between getting another fifth wheel or a motorhome when she looked at me and said, “Why do we drive in the truck while all that luxury sits behind us… when we could Ride in the luxury instead?”
This extraordinary logic from a 10-year-old hit me like a hammer and was indisputable. I was reminiscent to a trip I took with my parents when I was younger. We rented an old school GMC custom van that had a seat in the back that folded down into a bed and a makeshift kitchen. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world and just played in the van the whole trip. So, if you want to make a lasting impression and not be crammed in your truck or a tight ride, then this is the RV for you.
This RV is Made for Families Who Want Space, Comfort, and Sanity:Inside, the three slide outs and seating arrangement open into a roomy living area where kids can play, parents can relax, and no one feels cramped. The layout is designed so families can move around without bumping into each other (no butts in the face). One of the reasons we chose this layout is the TV location in the living room area. Most RVs have the TV positioned so that you have to turn your head to watch it. I hated this in our old 5th wheel. This RV has the TV positioned directly in front of the theater seating area and can be viewed easily from the dinette, the drop-down bed above the coach and the driver's seat when turned. This gives the ability for 8 or more family and friends to view the TV (I love this). After you extend the slide outs, it just feels so warm and inviting. It just feels like you are able to breath and enjoy everything the RV has to offer. There are large windows to let nature enter so that you don't feel isolated. But there are privacy curtains both shades and almost blackout if needed. We live in Florida and take this RV often to Grayton beach so that we can take in the scenery of the dune lakes and ocean front views.Comfort and Style:The seating is amazingly soft. It feels like you are sitting on your couch at home (I think better, but don’t tell the misses). The finishes are also one of the reasons we bought this RV. It just looks and feels rich and inviting. The king-sized bed is softer and better (Imho) than the one in our home. The wife would never let me get a reclining chair in our house (like your grandpa had) but in the RV with the theater seating it is not only ok, but she loves it more than I do, especially when it is a cold morning and she sits there drinking her warm tea while hitting the heated seat and massaging functions after reclining the seats out.Sleeping Spaces Kids Love & Parents Appreciate:Every one of our children finds their own favorite spot
• Highly desired bunk beds with privacy curtains and charging stations for tablets and games (great hideaways for my two youngest daughters)
• A drop-down loft bed over the cab that feels like a secluded getaway (so my oldest daughters can escape from everyone – like a cat perched on the world – just judging everyone and everything (if you are a parent of a teen, you know what I mean))
• A convertible dinette perfect for little ones
Parents get their own retreat too — a super comfy King size walk around bed in the master bedroom (a must have for the wife after our last RV). This master bedroom has a pocket door that provides your own adult oasis at the end of a remarkable memory filled day.
The spaciousness of this motorhome is hard to come by; we’ve even hosted a 12-girl sleepover using blow-up mattresses in the living room area. Two Full Bathrooms = Less Waiting Time (but there still might be fighting - OH Yes, there will always be fighting)
If you’ve ever traveled with kids, you know: one bathroom is never enough.
With 3 daughters and a wife, this was a must have and you will definitely appreciate it. When my girls start with the drama, I just tell them to use the kitchen sink to brush their teeth and wash their face and all the other 50 things they do before they go to sleep.
Entertainment for Every Age:Whether it’s a rainy day, winding down from the day’s activities, or just enjoying the great outdoors, this RV has you covered:
• Living room TV
• Master bedroom TV
• Outdoor TV under the LED lit awning
• Bluetooth speakers inside and out
I bring a few Amazon Fire Sticks and my T-mobile home internet with me for trips, but you can hook up to the RV Park internet on the smart TVs and log in to your apps if you want as well. You can also link into the cable from the RV park (if provided). The RV/TVs also have the ability to hook up to local RF stations.
A Kitchen That Makes Family Meals Easy:With a huge 4 door fridge (less trips to the store), a convection microwave (faster and perfect for pizza – plus saves the propane), a 3-burner propane stove/oven combo, and outdoor cooking options (outdoor propane line), this RV provides multiple ways to feed the family. Whether it’s quick breakfast, easy lunches, or grilling under the stars, this RV makes it feel effortless with more counterspace than most RVs.Built for Real Family Adventures:Larger tanks than the average RV
• 24.5 Gallon Propane Tank
• 80 Gallon Fuel Tank (less stops – LOL like that is a thing with kids - "Dad stop at Buckees" even though you just filled up, "Dad I'm hungry"- even though you have food in the fridge - "But I don't want that food")
• 82 Gallon Fresh Water Tank
• 84 Gallon Gray/Black Tanks (less dumping)
50-amp power (plug in more devices/appliances – but be careful could be lights out - only a few at a time and shut off the ac if running hairdryers and curling irons at the same time (We learned this the hard way))
Tons of storage inside and out (pass through storage underneath, his/her storage inside (a.k.a. her/her storage)A few more decision maker and spec notes:
Water heaters run on propane and electric (electric faster)
This RV has 360 Plus Wingard Wifi (but I haven't done anything with it I just use my T-mobile home internet)
Fridge/Freezer runs on propane or electric (depending on the length of the trip we will just put ziplock ice packs in the freezer with the food that needs to be cold and then turn it on when we reach our destination - saves propane).
Theater seating has reclining seats and massage function
There are two ac/heat pump units, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom area. (My wife loves this).
This RV also has a heat furnace run by propane.
Generator can be started remotely or on the precision circuits control system.
This RV has a washer/dryer combo (lets you spend more time with family and enjoying the RV life instead of spending hours in the laundry room - just don't overload it or everything will be wrinkled)
Your Family’s Next Chapter Starts Here:This RV has been our home on wheels, our memory maker, and our favorite way to spend time together. If you want an RV that brings your family closer, gives everyone space to relax, and turns every trip into a story you’ll talk about for years…This Georgetown GT5 M 36B is ready to be your Home Away from Home. I look forward to talking with you and I am an open book.
