The Grand Valley is full of world class mountain biking, hiking, wineries, fishing, kayaking, rafting, SUPing, bird watching, etc. We are nestled in a valley surrounded by The Grand Mesa, The Colorado National Monument, The Bookcliffs, the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers. The abundance of land is mind boggling! Grand Junction is surrounded by more than a million acres of public lands. Some places might require permits or fees, just remember these fees go towards conservation and management of the lands. There are over 20 official campsites within the Grand Valley. Two of our favorite places to camp are 18 Rd in Fruita and Knowles Overlook (Rabbit Valley) in Loma. There is no better place to enjoy the sunrise in the morning, the sun setting in the evening and the deserts' starry night sky.Grand Junction has a happening downtown with a fun, vibrant Main Street. Some of our favorite places to eat and drink are: Kiln Coffee, Sol Cafe, Taco Party, The Hog and The Hen, Trail Life Brewing and the Feisty Pint.Fruita - a couple of our favorite places to hang out are BestSlope Coffee, Hot Tomato Pizza, Karma Kitchen, Copper Club Brewing, Basecamp Provisions. Hello travelers,
I'm Tammy and I live in Grand Junction with my very active husband, two very active dogs and one, slow moving horse. We love living in Grand Junction and the easy access it provides to the high desert of Western Colorado and Southern Utah. When not sitting at a desk, we keep ourselves busy with hiking, biking, horseback riding, exploring canyons, floating the Colorado River via kayak and SUP's, golfing and pickleball-ing. We are also big supporters of our local restaurants, brewpubs, wineries and coffee shops.
I used to work in film production and PR and I have switched gears to outdoor adventure facilitation! We have a Bronco, Toy Hauler camp trailer and a camper van, that have proven to be fun and capable vehicles for exploring the Western Slope and beyond. I am happy to accommodate special requests, itinerary recommendations, and field any questions you may have.

I rented Tammy's van to attend a women's mountain biking festival (Roam!) in Fruita. The van was perfect--it is comfortable to sleep in, very well equipped with everything you need (camp stove, kitchen items, bedding, etc.)0--and the hosts explained all of the operational details perfectly before sending me on my way. I will absolutely try to rent from them again in the future.
